So I'm thinking of starting a survival game set in the woods, where you have to harvest resources (wood, fiber, etc.) and manage your needs in order to survive, while still having a story and "goals". Think something like The Elder Scrolls, you have a story and an objective, but you can still just play around and have fun. Anyway, moving on. Since this game is set in the woods there are going to be enemies that you would find in said setting, such as wolves. Now, onto the topic, I plan on having cut scenes that play when you kill an enemy (with the option of turning them off if you find them annoying) that adapt to the player's weapons, for example: if you have a club, the cut scene will show you bashing their head in; if you have a spear you will stab them; if you have a bow you will shoot them; etc. I was just wondering how do you actually achieve this. My game is still in the "concept that might happen" phase and I want to be sure of how to do things before I have a go at it. So, if anyone would like to inform me of how this exactly works, I would be thankful.
P.S: If I actually move forward with this project, I will create a dedicated thread for this game when I actually think of a name :/
