It works! ...Well it saves and the chatter is functional anyway. When I get home, I'm going to do some more in depth testing. And yeah, I saw your comment on another thread and that made me realize that using this may not be viable in the long run, so I'm open to the possibility I may need to use something else. Still, it'd be nice if this ended up working. For all the faults, it's certainly convenient if nothing else.
EDIT: OK did a small test where I saved 50 times in a room where a conversation between 2 NPCs is going on loop. I monitored the CPU use of RPGVXA the entire time--which fluctuates a lot, so it's hard to say determine if there's a steady growth. That said, from what I could see, there weren't any issues. There was no significant growth. This didn't conflict with any other messaging scripts I had on me. Everything seems to be working smoothly. Thank you to everyone who provided help!
