Here is the list of the RPG types. Vote on your preferred!

You can choose more than one choice, by the way.

3D FPSRPG (Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines). I'd definitely love to see more rpgs follow in the footsteps of VTMB.

2D JRPGs for sure, though not another epic fantasy "let's save the world from this evil deity by collecting X number of magical items" plot. I would personally love to see more sci-fi JRPGs, particularly in darker, dystopian, or cyberpunk settings. (For reference: Cosmic Star Heroine is a good recent example of what I mean, though something darker/grittier would be even better).

And I've also chosen 'Other'. Basically either the over-the-shoulder 3D Western RPGs (Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, Technomancer) or the same but in first person (Deus Ex, Dishonored), since these are the kind of RPGs I play the most.

Anything resembling fire emblem would be good, also more hardcore strategic rpgs would be very refreshing.

Something like FF Tactics would be supercool but with some good humour into it (just a personal preference because I don't like depressing stuff). :D

If Legend of Dragoon were on Steam I'd buy that immediately. I played that on PS1, and it was one of the best PS games I've ever played easily.

I want an FPS RPG where you actually level up, actually have skills, and have actual abilities.

I'm not talking about The Elder Scrolls or Fallout. I mean something more akin to Ultima Underworld. Or, maybe Strife.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
time for a new avatar :)
