I'm not sure if this is a "How do I do this" or a "Can someone make a plugin that allows me to do this", so feel free to move this thread to the appropriate section

I'm looking for a way to make an attack that uses multiple weapon attack animations in one attack. For example, an attack that slashes with weapon 2 and thrusts with weapon 12.

While it is possible to make an attack that slashes and then thrusts, it will do so using the weapon ID of the weapon that the actor has equipped - so by default, my actor would slash with weapon 2, and then do a thrust motion (heh) with his hands but still has weapon 2 slashing.

EDIT: I use Yanfly's plugin for SV attack animations. Dunno if that helps any

not possible by default, and most probably needs a plugin specifically to support such action sequences.

So, I did a bit of digging on this subject since I thought it was a neat idea, and I think I found what you need.

There were some other forums that made some references to being able to do this, and found a post by LadyBaskerville. Apparently, you can add a state mid-action that will force the weapon sprite to change. I have added a link to the original forum post, and the actual solution.

Forcing a different weapon's animation to play in skills said:
Yanfly's Weapon Animation plugin can change the weapon image for the sideview battler. Unfortunately, the notetags don't work for skills, so it's still a bit of a workaround:

I created a new state like this, in my case #12:

"Weapon Image: 9" is for the gun image, "Weapon Motion: missile" for the shooting motion.

Then I changed the Action Sequence to this:

<target action>

perform start

wait for movement

Eval: user.addState(12); //change the number to the ID of the state you're using

motion attack: user

Eval: user.removeState(12);

wait: 10

attack animation: target

wait for animation

action effect

wait for animation

wait for movement

wait: 5

</target action>

And it works! :D

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
