Hey all!

Great to be here, I just signed up!

My name is David and I'm a composer from Sweden. I write here to try to find developers in need of music for their game. I'm currently in my very first gig entitled "End of the Fallacy" which is LOADS of fun.

I have a passion of composing in several different styles of music from chillout electronica to metal, for all kinds of scenarios and applications. My influences range from Nobuo Uematsu, to the dark ambient stuff from Portal and everything in between. What I also like is when the developer has a clear idea of the desired mood of a certain scene, which I then try my very best to match.

Looping with OGG is not a problem! :)

Here are a couple of things I've made recently. Check them out if you are interested in getting a composer! Cheers guy!

Classic battle theme, for a swamp setting:

Tribal Africa meets Asia, home village theme, meant to sound "cosy":

Song for a dark, icy cave:

An exotic sand temple, with difficult enemies and lots of puzzles:

Cheery and spacious, with acoustic guitar!

These sound very interesting.

Slight problem in that this should be posted General Resources/Resources Workshops if you are offering your music free or in Classifieds if you are asking a fee.  Maybe you might want to ask a mod to move it to the correct forum?

Thanks for the advice. Mod, feel free to move this as I wasn't aware it was in the wrong section! :)

I would like to put in a request, (well 2 actually) but you haven't got any format posted, so I shall just have to put down what I would like and hope for the best.

Location:  Theme for a ruined/abandoned town, having a sense of desolation with an undercurrent of danger coming from you don't know what.  Looking over your shoulder you see nothing suspicious, but can't shake off the feeling that all is not right.

Style:  open-minded about that, but not electronic.

Length: 1:30 - 2:00, exact length to be determined by you so that it can loop seamlessly.

And linked with that:

A battle theme which fits with the town theme so that the 2 obviously belong to the same place, but the battle theme reflects the fact that the suspected danger has now become real.

Length: as above

Any possibility?

This scenario sounds very interesting, and I'm more than willing to give it a shot! I'll post again as soon as I have something recorded! Talk to you soon!

I have a small suggestion, remove the copyright related stuff of your videos like the Legend of Zelda and get yourself a nice logo you'll put as background for your videos instead. It'll make your music more recognizable as well as avoid any potential confusions about it being a remix.

Your music is very good, I love your Swamp Battle theme and I have been looking for someone that could make a good battle music for my game for awhile... interested? Allow me to give you the details.

Theme: battle theme.

Style: Medieval style with a little mix of modern.

Instruments: Intense Violin play and a drum beat has to be in the music, others you can mix up however you want.

Length: 1:50-2:00 and needs to be a loop please.

If you will accept this I will be looking forward to it :D

Thanks everyone for the kind words! I really appreciate them!

OM3GA-Z3RO I would love to give it a try, I'm glad you liked my swamp theme.

ksjp17 I finished my take on the town theme for you. Here you can have a listen to it

and here's the link to the loop version you can download if you want to use it. If you like it, I will start with the battle theme shortly!

I like this very much.  I would, though, like a slight tweak if possible.

The main theme (plucked guitar?) is just a tad too strong, so if feels a little bit strident which takes away from the slightly creepy feel.  Would it be possible to edit it so that it is a fraction softer?

Glad you liked it! I pushed the plucking back quite a bit here, have a look and see if it's better.

Yes, much better.  Really reflects the mood I want for that location.  I notice that it is a lot shorter than version 1, so is this the final length?  Also, just checking exactly how you would like to appear in the Credits: Level10Guitar or some other?

Awesome! Version 1 was 1:27, are you sure this version isn't 1:27 too? It shows the same duration for me. The youtube clip is a looped version, with the track + about a minute more. As for the credits, David Nyman would be great!

Just finished listening to your reel!

These are all very well composed, balanced, and refreshing! Each piece has character!

Great job, man!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
How many parameters is 'too many'??
