ok heres my situation im making a game that involves a lot of characters my problem is:

- how can you switch actor automatically after a cutscene to a different cutscene, actor and map as well for example:

Actor1 is having a battle to a boss on the jungle after he defeated the boss theres an event which npc will appear and tell him that his brother is in trouble in their castle

-then after some dialogue a new cutscene will appear on different map and actor(actor1 brother)after the cutscene you'll have to use the actor2(actor1 brother)

and actor2 allies aswell inside the palace without actor1..?

i wanna know because i dont have a clue to do that and i been thinking for a week now how to do that

im still not on that part of my story but i'll be there soon and im running out of ways or idea on how to do that or if its possible to do that or im gonna need a script for that

help please!!

If you just want to change the characters it's fairly simple, you just go to the 'add/remove members from party' command in an event, remove Actor 1 and all of his allies and then add actor 2 and his allies. Then whenever you want to switch back to actor 1 you do the same thing in reverse, but make sure you do not check the checkbox that says "initialize actor" and actor 1 and co will come back the same levels they left.

The only problem with this method is that actor 1 and 2's parties will share the same items and gold as each other. You could technically store all of that information in a ton of variables and add/remove every time but it isn't practical on any level. So if you want to have separate inventories as well look up Tsukihimes player/party manager scripts. (google "himeworks party manager" and the site will come right up, I'm to tired and lazy currently to actually provide the link.)

??? All you do is run a 'transfer player' event after the cut-scene ends. It's the first command on the second event tab under 'movement' and is the same way you transfer to any other map.

Edit: To make the transition look good you'd probably fade out the screen as soon as the scene is over, then remove/add to the party so that it shows actor 2, transfer him to the new map and then fade in on the cut-scene event for the new map so that everything is in place by the time something is visible again for the player.

Yea, It's just a transfer player/change party members event.  Then on the other map, just set the event for the cutscene to autorun.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
