Something weird has been happening to me. I tried several things to check what could cause this but nothing so far helped, or changed anything. Those things include turning plugins on/off, change my system's format setting back to German, start a clean project to test it.
Sometimes, when I'm typing text codes in message or even description boxes, I get symbols popping up. Seems relatively random since it doesn't happen every time. Typing \v[25] inside a \c[] got me a
, for example; and \n[6] had a 
popping up after it. Don't know if it's a weirdness that has something to do with me having to use AltGr+8 /9 to get the [ and ] respectively, but this has never happened to me before. I tried several things while trying to get it to happen again as described in my first paragraph. It still happened.
Thanks to a typo I now know that it even happens if I forget the [ after the letter. It's so weird. I don't know if it's just me being particularly stupid, and so far I only got it to happen in item descriptions and message boxes. And especially with message boxes, it happens even more randomly.
Am I doing something wrong? Am I going mad? Is it a bug? I think I lost a bit of my sanity with all that replicating and thinking of what could have caused it.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
