In the land of Telmene, the wind howls, the earth rumbles, the oceans stir, and volcanoes erupt. The world itself seems unwell. The kingdoms of mortalkind have sent their mightiest warriors to investigate...and those who returned have learned nothing of what troubles the world.
And then one day, a young wanderer crosses paths with a mysterious knight, a noble prince, and a spirit of water, becoming swept up in the tides of destiny and the spark of curiosity on a quest to discover the source of the ill wind enveloping the earth.
Our Heroes!
Cleona
An orphan from the village of Elma, Cleona has never been one for the calm village life, and hunting roaming gloops only goes so far. When a strange peril rises over the world, Cleona immediately volunteers herself for the adventure, unaware of what awaits her. Agile and skilled at fighting, Cleona can learn many spells to support and protect her allies from harm.
Saman
None know Saman's origins. Appearing in the Aqua Cavern after many have already marched to their dooms, Saman shows no fear and little emotion in the face of whatever danger lurks on his path. Where does he hail from, and what is his purpose? The world may never know. A master of the heaviest arms and armour, Saman also has a talent for the most diabolical of spells.
Gorott
Prince Gorott's only training has ever been simple swordfighting lessons. But when his kingdom's future is uncertain, Gorott charges into action, unprepared and oblivious to the gravity of what he will become involved in. Talented with the usage of various weapons and armours, Gorott is also capable of learning a versatile assortment of spells supportive and offensive.
Nerine
A spirit of water, Nerine manifested one day in the depths of the Aqua Cavern, aware only of a great calamity drawing closer to the world of Telmene. Though not without her doubts to the curious company that comes before her, she feels the three may be the world's only hope. An entity of mystical nature, Nerine's great magical powers can destroy even the most wicked of foes.
Features!
A classic-style JRPG, focusing on providing fair challenge that expects strategy and thoughtful ability use without killing you for not already knowing how to play the game.
Wield an arsenal of 64 spells to support allies, disable foes, and devastate your enemies. Charge energy by using magic, then Overcast a spell for massive effect (which could be damage)!
Choose the right tools for the job. Enchanted equipment can save your backside with its potent enhancements—and some gear will allow you to invoke spells for cheap or even unique powers!
Ever get wiped because you walked into a cutscene and got forced into a boss fight? Don't sweat—we'll let you prepare before ANY boss fight we force you into.
Status effects that don't suck! Special formulas and scripts are used so that the spells you'd never use in 95% of RPGs aren't useless without being overly crippling against powerful foes.

Spoiler
As it turns out, I completely forgot to implement the "Prepare/I'm ready!" prompt before the boss of the Ancient Castle. I've since fixed that, but it is not in the current demo.
The current build of the demo has an illogical floating door at the very end. (This is because I've already started working past that point, but not enough progress has been made to include past the end of the Ancient Castle. Or in other words, derp.)
Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
