Talking To Party In Camp

So, here's my confusion, and hopefully I'm posting this in the correct place. I'm making a series of games and I finally figure out a camp system. Great. But, now the issue is setting up conversations you can have with your party. I don't want to just put multiple pages on the event because I've had issues with that before where the event page didn't change when the switch or variable was reached. I thought about maybe having a Show Choice dialogue where you can pick a few conversations and they just branch out in the options but then I don't know how to add more choices later on. Anyone have any thoughts or ideas?

If the event page didn't change on switch or variable, then you ordered them wrong. If two pages both have their conditions met, then the page with the highest page number takes priority. I really suggest that you get a bit of experience with that, because event page priority is extremely important for more complex events.


I'm also suggesting because handling that with show choices and conditions will be extremely tedious and time-consuming, and has different problems when things aren't structured correctly. It will be a lot better if you learn how to use multiple pages and keep that solution (only done right this time)

I know how to use multiple pages. Though I didn't know that highest number takes priority. The other issue was I think I had too many options that could happen with that and too many were triggered so it didn't go to the one I wanted it too.


At this moment I have it set up via a variable. At first you talk to the person, you get a conversation and then you gain a point in the talk. it's a conditional branch so the variable equals one now and now he just says to get some rest.
