For online and mobile with ACE? I'm going to suggest you forget it. There is no support for mobile with ACE (there was a BETA version of such support, but it was too buggy and later dropped), so you have no way to go to mobile with ACE. You'll have to go to MV to do that.

For online, no one has succeeded in a fully online game yet in either ACE or MV. It is theoretically possible in MV, but you would have to totally rewrite 99% of the engine to do it. Only consider such an idea if you know how to code, else it will cost you > $10000 to hire someone to do such a task, as it will take months if not years to complete.

1) forget online gaming with Ace, no matter what.
There is one script that allows network commands to be given on the level of an online highscore list.
And even that requires that you program an online database yourself.

2) Multiplayer is extremely difficult to handle with the RM engine because it was never written for this

3) local tcg/ccg is possible for single player only, that is just work to get everything right.

MV has default online access (it is HTML5 after all), but even that engine will require you to program the server for multiplayer data on your own.

EDIT: ninja'd
and @bgillisp search this forum for AFAR - that is pretty far into online gaming, but it did use its own server programs written for it...

and please don't quote posts to answer to them, you can use the @Username method for simple answers.

That said, simply check the Ace Master Script list - but be warned that you will NOT get a prefabricated tcg, you will still have to put in a lot of work with eventing and accessing data (not to mention creating the pictures, because rips from other games are not allowed on this forum).

@techemaster22 The only kind of multiplayer this program is really suited for is same-screen multiplayer, and it's a stretch to even get that. PvP card games really don't work on same-screen, for obvious reasons.

Personally, I'd say look into other engines entirely. The game I'm working on right now integrates a few CCG elements, and I feel reasonably confident in telling you that RPG Maker is going to do *absolutely nothing* to help you make that particular kind of game. From shuffling a deck to carrying out card effects, you're going to do pretty much everything through custom scripting, and at that point you're totally circumventing some of RPG Maker's biggest strengths.

A friend once told me that card games are one of the hardest types of games to make. I believe them now. If you want to do something like what you're describing, you'll need to look into something like Unity or GameMaker or any of those other "generalist" game engines. :kaoswt2:

Upside: They'll have better online features and won't fight you as hard to make a non-RPG system. Downside: Gotta learn to code. If nothing else, you should try to become very, very familiar with Arrays. They're basically variables that store "lists" or "charts" of numbers, instead of just one each. That's how you deal with building/shuffling/drawing from card decks. Good luck! :kaoswt:

@Rhaeami You could technically do same screen multiplyplayer for a tcg/ccg in an RM program, all you would need is for when you choose to end your turn for a pop-up that says something like "Is Player 2 ready?" with a show choices command and when you choose "yes" the table or whatever surface the card game is being played on does a 360* rotation so that now Player 1s hand is concealed and Player 2s hand is shown. That being said doing it this way would mean the card game cannot involve much, if any at all, cards or effects or mechanics that allow you to do things in your opponents turn, things like that would be limited to things like a card gaining attack when it is attacked and other things where it only involves cards that are not in the hand/deck/other place only you should know about as a player.

@Dr. Delibird Indeed - these reasons, along with the tendency for people to try to cheat by looking at the screen, are what I had in mind when I said "for obvious reasons." It would pretty much be limited to a party game kind of thing, which may not really fit too well with the usual CCG audience. :kaoswt:

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such?
