The story of a would-be treasure hunter who, with one blunder, changes his perception of the world as he knows it.

Telum Fatalem tells the story of Lancon Darmen, a young man disconnected from his family and making his way through tavern brawls and treasure hunting. Gifted a map by a mysterious stranger, Lancon finds the sword Tirfling, and is thrust into being the Wielder.
This proves to be the least of his problems, as he will be joined by an ex-servant of an eldritchian evil, who still has the past chasing after him, and a Guardian hell-bent on taking on the mantle of Wielder in Lancon's place. As his adventures continue, Lancon will be joined by a whole host of characters, each with their own motivations and arcs to complete before confronting the big bad - Uzael.
Telum Fatalem seeks to recapture the scope and themes of classic RPGs, while approaching them from a modern sensibility. It will be familiar to those who have played these types of game, while giving an avenue for people who would not normally approach this style, both through simple gameplay choices and storytelling.

How Battles Work!

You make a party of three front-line characters. Each character has access to three skills, which you can purchase from a certain shop and equip as you please. You then have access to the Item Menu. The bar on top measures whose turn is coming up on this turn, and the prospective order for the next turn.
Active Combat!
Each class tends to use a particular action ability to power up their skills! Master these to deliver overwhelming damage to your enemies!

Master the multi-faceted Weakness Triangle to make the most of your combat!
Runes!

Runes will augment your weapons, and are essential in bringing out the full potential of Tirfling! These buff the stat boosts you gain from various weapons, and can later protect against status ailments, inflict those same status ailments, imbue your weapons with all new elements, and more!
Intent!

Once you reach 100 Intent Points (IP), you will enter Intent. This replaces the item menu, leaving you unable to use items, but also with boosted stats and access to automatically full powered attacks, usually dealing significant damage to your enemies or offering insane buffs!
Celebrate/Draw Life!

At the end of every battle, you make a choice whether to Celebrate or Draw Life.

Active Combat!
Each class tends to use a particular action ability to power up their skills! Master these to deliver overwhelming damage to your enemies!
- Lancon, from his time as a brawler, needs to wait for the right time to strike and take the opportunity! Hit the target with the Clock System!
- Nimbus, a creature that abhors violence and harbours a lot of anger at the world, must push himself to fight. Build the gauge with the Mash System!
- Ardera, tactical and measured, must observe the best course of action and execute her attacks accordingly. Hit the given symbols at the right time with the Circle System!

Master the multi-faceted Weakness Triangle to make the most of your combat!
- Destroy! Deal 2x Damage to the elements within your triangle! So Fire deals 2x to Ice, Lightning deals 2x to Wind, etc.
- Extrapolate! The elements in the two triangles are interchangeable, for even more depth! Earth deals 1.5x to Ice! Wind deals 1.5x to Fire!
- Equip with Care! All armors have elemental weaknesses, taken from their positioning! Ice and Lightning will deal 1.25x to Light Armor! Wind and Water will deal 1.25x to Medium Armor! Fire and Earth will deal 1.25x to Heavy Armor!

Celebrate/Draw Life!

At the end of every battle, you make a choice whether to Celebrate or Draw Life.
- Celebrate: Allows you to gain the full EXP that you would from your battles! It also allows you to keep the IP you built up over the course of the battle.
- Draw Life: Cuts the EXP you gain and reduces your IP to zero, but also gives you Distilled Life, an item necessary for learning skills and gaining other items.

- Play as a cast of characters, each with intertwining playable arcs that will affect the outcome of the story.
- Customise your characters with different abilities and weapon runes.
- Utilise character-based abilities to reach secrets and explore the world.
- Master the button-dependent battle system, as you time your attacks for maximum effect.
- Dynamic Music morphs with the environment and events.
- Original Soundtrack by Caleb Whittaker, featuring tracks by Dr Disastro and Cloud_525
