RMMV Temporarily disable fast-forwarding

Hello everyone.

I am looking for a way to temporarily disable the function to fast forward messages and move routes (primarily move routes) during scenes.

Temporary because I DO actually want the player to be able to fast forward in most cases.

However, there are a handful of cutscenes that I would like to be "hard-locked", so that the player has no control over the scene at all.

I have looked quite a bit and only found this plugin.

This plugin however only works globally and unconditionally, which does not work for me.
There are plugin commands to only temporarily block player input, but it seems that works only for messages and not for move routes.

Are there plugins like that or are there other suggestions?

for messages (I m not sure if YEP_Message core is required), you can use \auto.
\auto wont be able to skip messages I think, but if you dont want to them to skip
it, you can also disable key buttons and enable them after it.

otherwise, I have no clue

With that plugin, try this script call at the start of your cutscene event:
JavaScript:
TDDP_NoFastForward._disableGlobalMoveRouteFF = true;
Then reset it at the end with another script call:
JavaScript:
TDDP_NoFastForward._disableGlobalMoveRouteFF = false;
Note that these changes are temporary (not included in save files or reset on new/load game), but I'm guessing that won't be a problem if you're only using it for specific cutscenes~

That is good to know actually, since I do indeed use YEP_MessageCore

Just tested it and it seems to work. I didn't know such a command existed because it was not documented anywhere (to my knowledge). Anyways, thank you for your help, as always! :kaojoy:
