I'm having some trouble with a moving text box, it is moving when it isn't supposed to! I have searched the forums and google for something like this and have yet to find anything.

I have an autorun event where a NPC asks the character a few questions just to get their background, and then offers them help. The trouble is after about 2, or 3 of the 'show choice' options, the next text box moves down from where it should be so you miss some of the lines of text. I don't think I have told it to move down in any of the script, I'm just using the basic defualt commands in the event for this event. I would still like to have the many questions, because giving the player a choice of background makes the game seem far more RPG-esque. If the 'show choice' boxes are the problem though does anyone know how to help?

I tried to attach the contents of the event but when I copied and pasted it, nothing happened... I presume the contents of the event isn't saved in a text format?

If anyone could help me or needs me to do anything for them to help me it would be greatly appreciated!

the only solution i can think of, is to make sure that all of the text in the text boxes is lined up correctly, (use the preview text option to make absolutly sure.) i have had an NPC random fire questions at the player before in the same fashion without this happening.  check EVERY SINGLE command, it can be a hassle, but it's ussually the only solution.

Just ctrl+prt sc and make a screenshot of the event. Also list any scripts you are using (especially message scripts) as following your information thus far I cannot replicate the problem so it is likely either a script causing it or something in the event that shouldn't be.

I can't currently screenshot as I am away from my computer with the problem. I will add a screenshot later.

It's not a problem with the text alignment as I have previewed all the text, but a problem with the box itself moving from where it is usually positioned...

I am using Yanfly message script, with both add ons, I have Yanfly's core script as well and have tested the message and add on's script and they both work fine

That message system can be configured to allow variable text boxes. If properly configured, you use control variable commands to resize or move the text boxes.
If not properly configured, you end up with variables that are used twice - once for whatever you intended them for, and once for moving the textbox. Which means that you changed some variables between the choices and didn't know that those same variables also changed the message box.

Enter the script, look for the configuration variables, change them to variables that you haven't used yet and go to your project's variable list, renaming the new control variables to make sure that you won't use them for anything else.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
