The text is offset below where it's supposed to appear and gets cut off; I can't tell what's causing it. I'm using the Yanfly Core Engine plugin to change a lot of aspects such as the screen height/width, font size and window size, and I assume that might be causing it, but none of the settings I've tried changing to fix it (like line height, window padding and text padding) have fixed this font issue.

Here's the other plugins I'm using. I was having the problem before I installed Mechpen's SharpText plugin, so I know it isn't that one that's causing it.1696468179565.png

That's really weird. I've literally never seen that before. I wonder if maybe it might be a problem with the RPG Maker MV windowskin graphics, or something with the core of the game or the data file. Are you using a custom font? Maybe there's something wrong with how the custom font is displayed and fits into windows.

Disclaimer here, I know nothing of MV, but...
Maybe trying using the little window resize tool that windows normally has to drag the bottom down a bit?

Oh, God....I didn't consider that LOL. I was pretty darn close, though-I told her something might be wrong with the font she installed or the windowskin.

I just tried changing to a different font, and it looks like that fixes it - so the problem must be with this font. I'll have to figure that out, thanks!

Usually when I see this sort of error on a non-default font, it is due to the font itself, as SpyroFan67 said. RpgMaker software sometimes reads fonts a little strangely and causes line spacing to act up.

Try using a different font without changing any other settings and seeing what happens. If the problem fixes itself, you know it's the font.

Edit: Problem solved mere moments before I could click the reply button, lol.

Yeah, there's been a couple of times I changed font and it wound up not working right, too. I think it has to do with the difference in size between different fonts. Some fonts are big, whereas some are tiny, and some of them are off-centered in the engine.

This one is very small - it's 3 by 5 so I could fit more of it into the smaller resolution I picked. Unfortunately none of the settings I've been able to tinker with using this custom font maker have fixed the problem.

smaller resolution I picke
Just a heads up, I would check all game UI if you go with lower resolutions.
RM has some trouble rendering UI for tiny resolutions. It's not really designed to do that, so things can bork out depending on exactly how small things are.

It would be far wiser to prevent future errors to go with doubling your pixel sizes in the assets themselves but have the internal resolution render at normal size.

Thanks for the advice, but doubling pixel size would create its own issues and I'm pretty willing to work with the complications coming from a smaller resolution.

It's important to name your files clearly. You in a month may not know who "Aqua" is when looking over a file list of concept art.... Hypothetically
The worst part of liking an unpopular JRPG is having people complain at you about how they don't like it the moment you bring it up in passing or just say that you like the game

Chrono Cross and FFXIII are some of my favorites lol hehe haha:kaoangry:
