This update marks the end of the Castle set for the time being. Please look forward to the next set, too! This time, we're exploring the Underworld, where all sorts of creatures dwell in the dark, and shadowy rituals take place.
Hi, I posted this in the VX/Ace thread but looks like that one is pretty dead so I'll ask here. Can these assets be used in a non-RPGMaker RPG game? I'm programming one the old fashioned way and was wondering. Thanks in advance for answering.
Big update today. I'm pretty happy with how much I got done. Dragons, demons, undead, shadows, lizards... It's all here.
The underworld isn't completely dark. It's got some volcanic sections, hence the lava golem and salamander. The two-headed lizard is the Amphisbaena. The shadow creature might look simple, but it's one of the few monsters that is properly transparent with a non-transparent outline. Enjoy!
My Overworld might be a mix of inspiration from 2D Final Fantasy games, Breath of Fire, Battlechasers: Nightwar, Super Mario World, and Pillars of Eternity. If I can make it more in-depth than just walking from point A to point B, that might do a lot for the gameplay experience. Hmm...
