I feel like screaming for joy over the Drow! Very cool to see these and I am loving the color choice on the Pale Eels (Aboleth). I'm a long time D&D player myself, it will be very cool to see what you come up with in the future for more Drow related battlers.

This week's update is a host of demonic spirits. The white ghost is a vardoger, a spirit that takes on sensory effects of another person. The pale-haired floating child is an acheri from Indian folklore. They are the ghosts of children who were abused or abandoned, and brings illness to the feeble.
The heads are just demonic heads, although the large one bears some resemblance to the boss Beelzebub from FF: 4 Heroes of Light and Bravely Default.

I download it, and see if there is any frontview monsters are in it.
I just put it in a folder "Thalzon" as I most credit them that way,
unless the terms says otherwise, than I make a txt with the name of
the way they want to be credited.

Nice job though, they look really nice :)

This week's update has some deep-sea fish creatures. An anglerfish, and a, er... thing? It was based off some creature, probably a bioluminescent squid of sorts, but I made it some tentacled fish that looks a bit flat. Anyway, enjoy.

Absolutely loving the big demonic flowers bush!
I enjoy seeing each update you have. The Battlers are always beautiful and creative. It has quickly become a habit of mine to check your thread for updates, one which I eagerly look forward too.

Where do you get the inspiration for your Battlers? I understand the ones drawn from mythos, but others like these demonic flowers? -Impressive! Is it all up off the top of your head or is there a source for your inspiration? Also, how do you create them so quickly? Are you making them directly on a computer or drawing tablet? Or is there a hand drawn process before coloring?

Every time I think I've got enough enemies in my game - this happens. Seems like I have to come up with a new name, lore & strategy again x.x
Love your work ;)

In the case of the flowers, it came from the Corpse Flower monsters in Dungeons & Dragons. I lift fairly frequently from that. Also a fair bit is scouring wikipedia or blogs for myths and cryptids. The rest is the result of lots of doodling.
I sketch on paper first, since I feel more in control. Making line art digitally is rather messy, I find, but for colouring, especially my soft shading style, it's ideal.

I use to play D&D frequently in my HS and college years, so it is so cool that you reference the enemies from the monster manuals for your Battlers. Never got into 5e, so thank you for introducing me to the Corpse Flower! Had to look it up, what a nice baddie to complicate matters when the pcs slay that terrible necromancer!

It is so nice to hear that someone else still uses paper and pencils these days! I too still work with paper but favor ink. How do you get around loosing image quality when you downsize your monsters to fit RPG maker engines Battler sizes?

Wow... I am so glad that I found this treasure trove. These would be perfect for the game I'm working on for my daughter. I'm still in the planning stages, but I am about to start full on development soon. I've been looking for assets and I love these.

Back to working on my games again after a long break from this.
Insight of the day: Technically you can do off path shortcuts in the forest, but maybe you shouldn't. Also: Weeds can grow taller than me.
Well...my husband went on a 5 day trip. He accidentally took my set of keys and the only phone charger we have right now (left my other one at the hospital). Hope y'all like me at least decently enough 'cause I'm about to be here a lot.
It’s nice when you can actually see your own progress. There was a time when the concept of arrays was so confusing. Now, I can use length, pop, push, shift, unshift, join, concat, slice, sort, and reduce. Granted I can’t do it from memory, but that still seems like progress. Fun with Arrays!
Wanted to turn this into a joke or something, but it turned out into something meta and sad.
