Bran’s determination to the fight picked him up time and time again against Belial’s onslaught of attacks. The Angered Demon Lord decided to end the battle with his ultimate attack, the 1060th Spell! Dietrich could not stand by and let his friend, Bran die while he could do something about it. Without thinking, Dietrich pushed Bran out of the immense attack, take the full impact of the 1060th spell, the dumbfounded Amber and Bran could only watch their friend hit the floor.

Bran, beaten and on the verge of death resolved himself to put an end to Belial’s evil deeds, even at the cost of his own life. This spell took belial by surprise, which destroyed his physical form completely forcing the evil Belial to flee with his soul back to hell.

The party won, but Bran was dying in amber’s arms. Amber’s tears rolling down her cheeks onto Bran’s face, unsure of what to do. I'll take it on. Will give you feedback afterwards.

Alright, early feedback... But prepare yourself mentally before reading it.
I don't like the game. I'm on floor 3 and I intend to finish it, because it's short, but the game shows exactly that it's been made quickly and in fact in haste.
I won't comment the RTP usage, since it was for a competition I don't know anything about. But this game has so many flaws... Well, here I go.

1. the music was my very first note. Well, second, but the first one that was around gameplay. There is only one music file used for both the map movement and the battle. After 10 minutes it became annoying, because not only there's just 1 music file, it doesn't even fit the atmosphere at all.
2. The custom dubbing, which was my very first note. You either seriously have to work on it or remove it completely.
A. You read it so monotonously. Is it an epic story or a boring novel? From the sound of it I'd choose 2.
B. That was the only place where you had some dubbing so far. So it's better to not put it in at all. I kind of wondered if I would see dubbed actors later on, but in the end I didn't.
C. People will read it themselves. It's not too pleasant, since there are quite a bunch of errors in your grammar, but it's actually better (and well, faster) than to listen to you presenting it with zero enthusiasm in your voice, with stuttering where you shouldn't stutter and inconsistencies.

Now about the game.
I don't think wsad and mouse is practical. I would rather use arrows and enter, and the reason that I'm on a laptop isn't the only one. But there is no way to set the keyboard, because the access to menu is turned off.
I don't like the menu that is forbidden, even though I can fully understand it. But you know, instead of making save points on the map, you could just create a menu with Save, To Title (because if I screw up, I have to press Alt+f4 and then open the game again) and Options, instead of blocking the menu completely and creating save points. If you were concerned about people being able to heal, simply prevent them from using skills. If you were concerned about people saving mid-floor, then be aware that I can save mid-floor anyway, because I can use the save points as many times as I like (which is partly convenient for me, because I've encountered a lag issue which screwed me over when I tried to throw the chicken to the cat... After it screwed me over, I had to end the game through Alt+f4 instead of just going to title and loading the game).
I don't like the Autodash turned off and the fact that I can't turn it on. Do you know how annoying it is to walk through the whole floor without autodash? With the lag I'm having it's even worse, but well, the lag is my fault, not the game's fault.
I don't understand why it rains in the tower. I could understand the fog, but the rain?
I also don't understand why you use such a high resolution when the messages are wrapped on the standard one.

And now for the battle.
I don't understand the red screen tint in battle. A yellow animation on red screen tint doesn't look nice.
The Moghunter's GUI plugin is nice, but you have to be careful how you use it. Not only it's not setup properly for your resolution, you also forgot that one skill description doesn't fit the box.
Which reminds me, the description of the girl's ultimate skill is wrong. It doesn't give a powerful hit to all enemies, but to only one. I was seriously surprised when I found out against two minotaurs... And not in a pleasant way, because she ended up being killed and I had to revive her, because I didn't want to waste a second key (I want to keep them for the final floor if possible).

I will comment on the game balance after I finish the game.

Alright, I will not finish it. Because the last boss battle seriously pissed me off.

Another notes as I played through.
The cat... I seriously did not expect that such a fluffy cat contained such a disgusting beast (that was, nevertheless, easy to defeat).
With the cat there is a bug though, because after you defeat the cat, the event "It worked!" repeats itself continuously and the event moves further and further to the right until it can't move any further (which is where this bug finally stops).
The third floor is so long... The two floors were short. And the third one was longer than both previous floors combined. But it had nothing new to bring! Always repetitive battles that I knew how to pass, from time to time I refilled against a skeleton... So why in the world it was so long with no autodash or normal dash, but lots and lots of enemies?
Even the bosses were seriously disappointing. All of them.

Overall the game balance is like this:
You have items in your inventory that you're never gonna use, because they are too weak. The only useful ones are revival items (and I used only one). I didn't even need to use the keys (used only one due to not knowing the minotaurs, even though I should have used it in the last floor and I should have come with full tp to save myself some hassle with the first battle).
You have items that cure states, but in game there are no states. There are only buffs and debuffs.
The buff skills don't really have an importance. They are only good for refilling tp quickly and cheap (20 tp per hit for every skill).
The skills pricing is very strange. The first character has magic - that buff for 25. The third character has a weaker buff for the same price.
The third character has a 2000 damage AOE skill for 50 and a 2 hit 2000 skill for 50. The first character has 1 hit 2000 damage skill for 50 and an AOE skill for 100.
The healer doesn't have any offensive spells except for the ultimate jutsu, so she might as well just be busy healing, since 200 damage she does by basic attack isn't really much.
You can always use the skeleton and orc to heal hp, mp and up tp. And in every floor except for the last one there are plenty of them.
Every battle is very easy if you know how to beat it. Even the minotaurs were easy once I got the knack of the game. If you approach the bosses with 100 TP, you have pretty much won, because that's 15000 hp down in the first round, then you cast the 2 ogres - another 8000 hp down, they are dead.
Well, except for the last two bosses... The very first battle on the fourth floor was just as disappointing as previous ones. Not to mention, I came with absolutely empty TP, but it didn't really matter. Then I wasted one full TP meter on the boss when he had only 1700 hp, because I thought that was the final battle and didn't expect three battles.
Well, didn't really matter, because the second boss was easy too, it just had 40k hp, which was a pain to put down. But the third boss? Ridiculous. 66k hp, ridiculous agility and its' skills?

1. debuff of atk, matk, def, mdef, luck. That's not a big problem, since I cast the buff of atk, matk and agi to boost tp.
2. an attack that does 1500 dmg to one target. Very weak.
3. an AOE attack that causes 2500 AOE damage. In other words two of them will 100% kill your healer, unless you have a heal on the way.
and 4. a 20k hp heal.
So if you're lucky, you can defeat this big beefy boss with big beefy stats. But I was not lucky. I took its' hp down to 20k only to find out it healed to 40k. My healer was quite out of mana, but then a small luck smiled at me in form of 3 debuff attacks in a row. But in the end it screwed me over.
Because this boss is the only boss that has bigger agility than you.. Much bigger, so it means you cannot react properly to his actions. You can only try to predict, but how can you predict something that is fully random, especially when you're running low on mana from constant healing and mana replenishing?
In the end the game screwed me over with not just one, not two... But three AOE attacks in a row. I will not suffer through the same ordeal again. That was the end for me (three AOE attacks in a row are impossible to outheal if you don't have heal coming after the first attack, which I did not have as I was trying to heal some mana. Even if I could manage to heal the single target heal before boss attack - which I cannot anyway, the boss's agility is ridiculously high -, two characters would die during the third AOE anyway.)

If I can sum it up, then simply... The only plus I can find is that it is short. But storywise it's not engaging, the user friendliness is missing, logic or realism is nowhere to be found, and the game is heavily unoptimized.

Maybe it's not that bad that it was dsq, because this seriously cannot pass. Because not only it is clearly made in haste, there also doesn't seem to be anything that would look like you at least playtested the game.

I'm not sure if you want to work to make this game better or not... It's up to you. However, this game needs lots of polishing if you want people to play it.

I only have one last question though. Are you really a company with registered trademark?

Hey, thanks for reviewing the game! I'll try to comment on all the points uve made.

When i played it, i cleared the game including all the final floor bosses. The game wasn't made for 4 floors, but 5 and the game was made in less than 10 days. Alot of content had to be removed to meet the deadline, which ultimately we did not make.

-The monsters were alot stronger, but then we decided to make them "easy" and i'm fully aware that Ultimate skills, spam heals and Dietrich's rampaging ogre attack are very OP. I didn't want players to quit after just the first elite monster.
-About having no menu, we wanted to make the game as simple as possible.
Music within the game, unless that's a bug, i'm sure we have a wide selection of music in the game to match the importance of each event.
-The company mark isnt registered yet which is why tm was used.
-The rain is outside since the camera view allowed it.
-The game was meant to be a test
-Alot of changes were made to the skills, changing ultimate skills to a single target attack is one of them.

Thanks for the reply :kaojoy:

I figured it was made in a very short time... I'm not impressed nevertheless. If I have to quote Boromir, One does not simply make a good game in 10 days :)
Well, I have to admit, during boss battles the music is different. However, in the map and in normal battles there is only one music and the same one...
But thank you for the game anyway, because this way was an example of what I should avoid.

tho to be honest, while you say the game is bad. your review of it is even worst. seems being polite doesn't work very well on degenerates. :kaoluv:

Yeah, I'm a degenerate :) I'm a degenerate with no manners and no knowledge about etiquette or public stuff. I'm a degenerate that's very moody and bitter. I'm a degenerate who speaks in such a way that it often gets misunderstood as an attempt to insult someone. And I'm a degenerate that will never back off. However, I'm a degenerate that will always be honest. I'm a degenerate that will never color the truth in an attempt to protect someone... And if I don't like something, I will say it. I'm a degenerate that is open to discussion and multiple opinions. That's something positive to weigh out those negative things :)
I'm sure my reviews have and will crush other peoples' days. However, I notice things many people tend to forget or deliberately ignore and if you ask me, I can explain my point well. That is something you can't take from this degenerate :) Well, if you ever need an honest review, you know where to find me. But it's kind of getting off topic :)

He was referring to the style you chose to present your review. You mentioned bad grammar but your review is filled with it. He wasn't necessarily trying to insult you. However the style of your review does immediately make me question your credibility. Your articulation isn't great and it casts doubt on your opinion.

Reading back, I have to agree with you. The grammar is indeed awful. I also have to apologize for being so grumpy... I had some seriously bad night and I vented it out somewhere where I shouldn't have.
I'll redo the review someday. When I get some more sleep.

Hi, @PunkFile

Well, I was going to check out your game but the file isn't working for me. I downloaded twice, go to unpack the .rar and it says the file is in unknown format or damaged. Not sure what's going on.

Do you have winrar installed on your computer?

Yes, Sir! Yes, Sir!
I did find another .rar packed game that gave me the same problem, but the majority of packed .rar games have opened without issue.
