This is very impressive, I love the painted look. It's very different to most of the games you see on here, and that's really a strength in this case.

    Good work!

This looks to be amazing. I can tell you right now, that seeing the screens and seeing all the art has gotten you one future buyer indeed!

I just found this thread and I wanted to say that, according to the screenshot section, the artistic conception is really good and really unique. The atmosphere created is, in my opinion, consistant between not only the scenery but also the character design, the font used and the GUI.

I was wondering, did you make your animations drawing frame by frame the characters or did you use a software ?

I really hope this project will see the light and I'm also eager to try out a demo.

Thank you for sharing your project ! :)

I love the unique artstyle! Especially the recently posted underwater screenshot/gif.

Keep up the amazing work, I can't wait to play it.

You made those maps right? You could have entered them in the Artsy Mapping contest, and you would have won! can't wait to play the game! :D

Id like to pretty much agree with everyone so far.

When do you plan on releasing this?

Thanks guys; We've been getting things ready for a testable version soon (contains about the first half of the game), so if you're interested in testing it out soon, definitely shoot me a pm.

Character animations and skills are both drawn.

Thanks; would like to leave contests to others though. SnowOwl, Celianna and Numfankle's entries were cool!

Won't say yet, since we'd like to iterate a little more, and get some tests as well.

I just want to say that this game is so beautiful it's almost depressing. Very interested in playing. =p

Also have to work extra hard to compete, haha.

    This game is BEAUTIFUL!!!

The story sounds amazing, too. The whole thing almost seems like a Miyazaki movie turned game. Cannot wait for this to be done!

This is definitely one of the most lovely rpg maker games I've seen. Your painting style lends itself well to this type of platform. I wouldn't be surprised if completing the project would land you a gig at a game development company. Nice work :)

Wanted to record gameplay of the first area, since the screenshot updates have slowed down a bit. (still a WIP, but getting there!)

(Chose to skip the game's OP/Intro - just wanted to show you how the game plays in motion).

This is still my most anticipated release. The art and aesthetics are just astounding and I love how different the setting is from most other games. It actually reminds me a bit of Journey, which is probably the highest compliment I can give.

I haven't read any of the story synopsis but I love the way you're doling out the plot. You don't seem to be overwhelming the player at all, and the simple "Return to the sky and destroy the Amber Throne" mission statement is just beautiful and poetic, I think. If you ever need someone to test your game... *points excitedly at self*

Okay, so I know a lot of people have already said it, but I'm going to say it anyway.    This game looks absolutely amazing.   Definitely looking forward to seeing a demo of it.

Thanks guys - things are getting closer to the end, so there aren't many screenshots to show without spoilers (have been trying to keep them focused on the first 1/3rd of the game up to now).

However, since most of the physical world is near finished, I've been working on getting the world map in-game lately.

Clouds cover areas you haven't been to, and disappear as you visit them. A small gold cursor indicates which area you're in.

It's a simple map, but hopefully it helps!

There're also a couple ways to fast travel.

One is by using a mount, which is obtained from a short sidequest (located up that cliff). Another is by using Nuo's airship to fly between anchored points in the world (like an enlarged version of the world map above).

Also, although the gameplay video doesn't show it, there is battle music in the game. I think our approach to it is somewhat unique - I'll show some of it soon!

That's my update for now! Happy holidays to all of you. Get more things in the steam sale.

Man, I can't wait to play this. Easily the prettiest game I've seen in Ace. And the setting and characters are a breath of fresh air. Nice concise plot too. Looking good!
