I feel that if the developers united enough to combat this, there could be a real, positive impact.

I get 'press key' requests a LOT. More often than not, the email they send is identical, suggesting to me that it's the same key-seller fishing for keys everywhere through multiple accounts.

I always ask that they confirm their credentials - never happens.

I don't know any other RPG Maker game pulling this out yet but.


Over thousand lines of professionally spoken dialogue is coming as a major update.


With professional I don't mean top names of the industry (even though some of them are quite famous.)

That said, patching has been going relatively well. Thanks to Steam platform the customers usually need to download less than 10MB of data when I fix something.


I must say that as a seller, it's the best platform I know. No need to go through official channels when I want to patch my game.

Brilliant news. Does it only "swap" the changed parts so to speak, or only the data files and not maps, images, etc?

Well considering it's public information provided by Valve, here's a link for more information of how it works.

Basically it only updates the difference even if a file is 1 GB big.

Or does it do a binary diff between the files to only replace/add data? That'd be wonderful if it did.

I'm not sure how it achieves what it does but even when I upload new version of the game, it only uploads a few megabytes.

I got a real user asking for a key and they had actual following to make something happen. Then all they do is to leech trading cards without unlocking any achievements.


No lost sale as they wouldn't have bought the game anyway but still so amusing how low some go for Steam "trading."

This happens all the time. More often than not, they'll pretend to be an LPer or something and request 20-or-so keys. Then they just sell them through reseller sites.

Hehe this was legit from outset, profile and everything. He even leads the group he claimed and his profile did show that he actually played the game. He just didn't follow-up with his promised promotion plans. So sometimes when it's not a bot and you get your "proof", they can still deceive you.

Yep. I was just on the HOMM7 message board, and there were people on it asking for a beta key so they could test the game for them. How much do you want to bet those people are just after a free key?

You should have let me help you with this game, this guys YouTube review of the game is pretty brutal, that mapping needs work. It's a very big change from the other clans games.
