Great job on completing a game for the no travel jam! You plot is very poignant, and as an american who doesn't know too much about the elections in other countries, it's intriguing to read about. It is apparent that the game was not written by a primarily English speaker, but I will try to make time to play though this!

I tried to play this game, but unfortunately ran into a spot where it softlocked. :rsad:
The softlock happens early on in the game, right after learning that there's a 45 minute time limit. I headed towards the barriers on the street and the window scrolls, but then nothing else happens... Since there didn't seem to be a way to save I quit because I didn't want to keep replaying the intro.

It's clear that English isn't your first language, so I want to recommend finding a friend who is a native English speaker (or knows it well) to help you with the dialogue. Currently it's understandable, but the mistakes in grammar and spelling can be a turn off to some players who would otherwise be interested in your game. It seems like you put a lot of effort into the story because you want to share it, so don't be afraid to take some time to give the English some extra polish.

Hopefully you can fix the softlock easily, so that others can give this a playthrough. Good luck! :rwink:

Good day!

Played your game and sadly I did not get to finish it.

I'll get straight to the point that the game seems to be needing a rework as I don't think there is a way to properly finish it for now.
I will be sequencing out how the story seems to play through and state my points so you can use it to check what things to work on :)

* To start, there is no proper hint as to where you should go- as what @hiddenone thought was a softlock- wherein you actually had to go back to the post office and go to the back where there is a rope and use it to climb the wall- to access this door that was locked at first- after getting the stuff at the right room, go to the left one if you had not went there yet, as the man blocking it now moved and you can now get the key.

* Also note that you can only access the vending machine that sells that steak here which seems very crucial in keeping you sane while trying to finish the game lols- It will be used to feed the dogs then trigger the save function- This is the only way to save and you are only allowed to save twice since you have 50 coins at start and the steak sells for 25- And there is no hint that this is a feature in the game.

* Next thing you should go to is to where the construction site boss is as what the mc implies in his dialouge- It is the one on the right as the other one's locked- Getting the passcode to open the vault and get an evidence though is very tricky- as this seems to be very crucial in getting to properly finish the game- Will get explained later- note, really hated this issue. There is also no point talking to the secretary.

* You can also already access the back area of the boss' office and there is warehouse there where you have to place four notes/pieces(N, E, W, S)- Again, there is no hint explaining how to locate these stuff- Will give out the locations below.

* You should then head to the left side of the map- just to the left from where you climb the rope-
You can then go to the police building(it's built too big to be called just a station lols) and there you can go to back area and know that there is a kid being held by the police- You can go to the front desk and tell the man that you are the lawyer of kid- The police blocking the door should now move and you can go talk to the kid inside- You can get the kid to follow you by telling him that you are there to help- telling him the other choices makes him not follow and you can no longer talk to him.

* Then you can go to the red house below the police building- going either here or the building first seems not an issue as they have no connection- Here you should interact with the frame on the right side and locate the button- interact to open the stairs going down- interact with the shelf to locate another evidence- Also, do not interact with the second shelf near the sink because it will lock you in place, though the timer still goes down- I did try to spend up the timer just standing lols.

* Also, the story had it so that you know what to check on the red house by going in that white house- the one to the far right- there is a diary there that hints to a "frame" which implies the picture- Maybe this is where the key dropped by unique goon is used?

* You can also go in the factory above the police building but there doesn't seem to have a use for it- The lady there might be giving clues but the dialogue is not translated- the blue barrels there are passable tiles too.

*By now, you should have all the collectible pieces to progress further- Here are the locations:
1. The goon near the clock tower just below the construction boss' office drops it- There is also a unique goon there that also drops a key.
2. Interact with the shelf on the top right corner near the boss' secretary to get a piece- also interact with the top left shelf on the boss' room as it gives you 20 more books to throw- you'll really need it.
3. The goon near the clown drops it- also speak to the clown as he will give you a soda that you might also need.
4. In the red house- interact with the drawer on the room that is beside the bust/head statue to get a piece.

* Now go back to the warehouse- then place the pieces in order; top left- N, top right- E, bottom left- W, bottom right- S- then trigger the lever and a stairs should appear- follow the path to get out the tent and head left to reach the uphill area- Note that you can miss the tile triggering the event that gives the mc's dialogue by going below the tire tile instead of just going forward- maybe just block that part-
You should head to that upper stairs part and trigger the fight with the police guy- You can also miss the tile triggering this because you have enabled to walk diagonally- the tile is just below the stairs and you can diagonally go directly to the stairs from the left side (was going to attach pics but my upload rate is very slow so maybe I'll do it next time)

* The fight with the police guy is kinda difficult given you only have 3hp and he moves very fast, the kid is also of no use whatsoever lols- To defeat him I'd rather stand in one area and just time it to intercept the police to hit him- that is why it is important to have saved up many books and you should have gotten the extra ones- Then get the mayor's daughter with you to supposedly help your case. Also, beating the police makes him just vanish, maybe you can have him tied up and brought to court too and have the mayor's daughter expose him.

* The other thing to do there is to hit the goon blocking the road with fires, just locate them in the left side of the hill.

* Now all you have to do is pass through the previously blocked off area and reach the court house- there is no point interacting with the NPC's there so just head up to the courtroom door and start the trial.

* And just as I've said at the start I did not get to finish the story. The sequence goes as follows, you interrupt the trial going on there to state you emergency but then you also get interrupted by the construction boss' secretary saying she saw you threaten/hit her boss and had it recorded- You game over there afterwards- Really frustrating to find out that after what all you've done, the one thing you did far in beginning already dictated what will be the end.

All in all, the game pretty much really needs a rework for me hehe. The thing I think you need to work on first is finding a way to give out hints or tips to the player to have the idea what to do.

Edit:
* Played one more time trying to speedrun the game- this time using the choice of "Look for evidence" during the boss' conversation since I already know the combination- Reached the trial and still managed to game over... had no idea what I did wrong that time. You should really fix it so that the player finds a way to bribe the secretary since you will really have to choose to hit or threaten the boss initially to find out what the passcode and doing so makes it a crucial part of the story.

@Wazzzyki Oh, so it's possible to continue? That's interesting, I guess I was just unlucky when it came to triggering that cutscene since the Captain was frozen. :rswt I'm guessing that there's a move route that forces the player into the barrier, @SparKt luckily that's an easy fix by making sure the 'skip if cannot move' option is checked in the move route.

Holy Mother! You played very well the game. I tried not to give all the clues for the player, maybe is more fun have some dificu. I make this game for player have some intuitive sensor, look around and explorer for clues. Maybe is too hard somethings, but you did it. I will fix some another things.

About the second time you played: The game have only to things for "Game Over", choose the two options "Torture", "Threaten". This options will make the game over. But, if you choose one of that, you still can brib the Woman. The gold in game have to be very well spent, our you save the game, brib or buied sodas.

Very thanks for play the game.

@SparKt Oh I see that gold is what will be used to bribe the secretary, then maybe you can have it that the player earns money through the mobs or be able to get more by interacting through other objects just like how you can get the NEWS pieces, or you can also increase the starting gold the player has. This is crucial as I've pointed out that the save feature is done by feeding steaks to the dogs thus forcing you to spend the money.
