LOL!

That is awesome!

Suggestion:  You should make a zip archive of everything for easy downloading (people can delete the things they do not want).  Also, I suggest not using dropbox, they only allow so much traffic and will block all downloads (and views) after a certain point.

I've thought about that, but right now all the animations (before zipping) are sitting at around 40MB already, and its only going to get bigger. I don't have the time to make a new zip file and then upload it every time I make a new animation. What's the maximum to Dropbox traffic? And is there any other alternative?

If worst comes worst, I might end up just showcasing the GIFs during the weekdays and wait until the weekend to release the animation sheets in a pack, but I don't know if I want to do that, and I don't know if you guys will like that either.

That's a good idea. Compiled pack release every weekend.

Alternatively, you can compile the sheets bi-weekly. So, you'll have week001 pack, then week002 pack, etc, and we wont have to re-download same sheets, and the file size wont go too big. :)

p/s: that MMK is sick! xD

I know that you don't take comisions but maybe the suggestion of seeing the same mmk animation but with other elemental effects? like elctricity(whih could also be used as ice) or fire? I mean the animation is pretty awsome and changing colors is more than enough to make it seem elemental, but the hearts are beautifully still there oh well iit doens't matter enemies and friend fall for the power of wuv don't they  :p

I love the latest animation. Laser-like beams are amazing for creating skills that hit multiple times. Feels good. :D

How would I end up getting this animation into my game? I'm pretty bad at this, so if you could tell me step by step that would be nice.

Good evening RPG Maker Forums!

I apologize for not releasing anything on Tuesday. I caught a bad cold over the weekend and had my hands full dealing with my work in that state. Before we get to the release today, some responses:

I'll think about it.

This is not the place to ask for how to use resources. Please redirect this question to the appropriate forum.

Since we've had Protect for a while now, I figure we'd introduce its partner today:

If you don't mind me asking, what program(s) do you use to make these animations?

Hey, your animations have really helped me out. I'm always looking forward to your next entry. Thank you for doing all this, you have no idea how much better my games are looking using these animations.

I have a question for you. Most of these spell animations seem to be for human use. Would you be able to maybe make some which are more for monster use, like say, a Web Attack or a vampire bite animation with teeth? Those would really enhance enemy attacks, as well as Blue Mage ability effects.

Thanks again, you rock!

How would I end up getting this animation into my game? I'm pretty bad at this, so if you could tell me step by step that would be nice.

1. Create new project

2. Download the animation pack (first post) then put it in your animation folder

3. Download the .json (first post) then put it in your data folder (yes, accept to replace)

4. Open the project, the default animations should've been all replaced by the new ones.

5. Copy-paste the animation from the database of the new project in your poject (any slot)

6. copy-paste the picture file of the animation (in the database of your new project, look at picture it use then copy paste it in your project file).

How to update with a new animation ?

1. Download the .json in first post every time a new animation is released and replace it in the new project you made above.

2. Download the new released animation and put it in the new project of above.

3. Repeat step 4 to step 6.

pm me if you've any trouble.

Hey there, I was wondering if I could possibly help contribute to this cause. I'm an VFX designer as well but I use Photoshop, Flash, and After Effects. At the moment, I'm teaching myself MV and I'm trying to find ways to involve myself with the community.

My work pretty much involves anything from dust to explosions to hit sparks to fire to pretty much whatever.

Anyway, I'd love to help in any way I could. I don't want to seem like I'm plugging myself or anything, but this seems like something right up my alley.

It's best to you start your own thread if you are thinking about contributing your animations to the community.

Our terms of use and details are probably different, and I don't want to confuse people with crediting the wrong person for the wrong work.

Good afternoon RPG Maker Forums!

We have 2 simple animations today to (kind of) make up for a lack of release on Tuesday. It just so happens that by their nature, the animations can be used as separate components as is, so I won't be posting component versions of these two.

Also, I just want to mention that I'm making a survey to get inputs and data on what kind of animations the community would like to see. Given that I don't take commissions, this is a rare opportunity for you to directly influence what I make! Make sure you participate in the survey once I have it up and running. =)

As always, these animations are pretty good! And I like the idea of a survey! :D

I'll be waiting for that. :)

To everyone,

First off, let me thank you all for your continuous support!

I have opened up a survey for collecting some data from you in regards to battle animations. I expect the data collected from the survey will allow me to make animations that are more relevant to the community's needs, as well as deliver them in a way that is most "user-friendly" to the community.

Here is the link to the survey, it should take no more than 10 minutes:

https://dsc2649.sawtoothsoftware.com/gZyq343HXD/cgi-bin/ciwweb.pl?studyname=gZyq343HXD

If you choose to participate,  thank you in advance for your time and efforts!

Warm regards,

hadecynn
