I want to know how will the sequel to the mainstream RPG Maker (MV) will be? I mean no one knows, but what is the speculation? What is the most likely?

I really like the RM MV for the side-view battle system, its versatility in outputting for different platforms and other things. I have bought it as a pre-order. I want there to be more features and more resources for future versions. I want there to be more sprites of a generated character with more states.

Honestly I can't ask much more from a non-professional game engine. But here is a list of stuff I think would be great if they added:

For art:
- More enemy battlers.
- More default tilesets.
- More customization assets for character generator.
- More animations.

For the game code (as a programmer I would appreciate these, but honestly I would still be happy if they keep it as it is):
- Unlink frames and time if possible (would be hard, since animations work with frames. Could support higher frame rates and allow the use of fps that are half or a third of the original frame rate. For example, engine runs at 120 fps and supports 60 fps and 30 fps).
- Multi-threading (would be nice, but not a must).

As a developer:
- More supported platforms. Would love to export to switch/playstation/xbox
- Bring back true layering mapping (like in XP).
- Add a default external text editor for dialogue which will allow for quick message editing and easy spelling correction (would also allow language translation).

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
