The Greatest Game You've Never Played

Hey there all - today, I want to know about that one game that's recieved so much praise from your friends and the media, but it's a game that you have never played yourself.
This might comes as shock to many, but for me, I have never played Final Fantasy VII.
I was too busy paying The Legend of Dragoon. 


So, what is the greatest game you've never played?

I've never played the entire Fallout Series, Nor the Deus Ex and I've heard both are well spoken of.

The Monkey Island Games. I even have the disk for them that I bought a while ago, but never got around to playing them.

Dude, the localization will KILL YOU AND YOUR EXPECTATIONS! Be careful with FFVII: it was huge due to several reasons - but dialogue coherence wasn't one of them!


Mine is Chrono Trigger. I arrived too late on the scene to be able to get my greedy hands on it. And I'm too cheap to get something to play it on (since it's now an app). I always regretted not knowing about this one!

My favorite has to be A Link to the Past - such an incredible game.

Very classic, it even has the original black mage art from FF1...


Oh yeah! Final Fantasy 15 is coming out soon! Looks pretty good, I think they might recover from final fantasy 10 - 14...


Which really isn't good for a franchise... Zelda has 27 different gameas I think... Which is way more,,

   You need to right this wrong! (at least the first Deus Ex and fallout 1-2) Incredible games. Also Wasteland.


@OP: FF7 is a good game, but LOD has always been better in my opinion. I also played it first and was fairly late to the FF party.


@consolcwby We're in the same boat there. Played the heck out of Trigger's allegedly drunk cousin, Chrono Cross and loved every second of it. I keep meaning to play trigger but I missed the boat early on and haven't owned a Nintendo console since Gameboy Color. Also my phone is so primitive people duck and cover when I whip it out in fear it's a detonator of some kind.


   Probably for me the most hyped games I've never touched would be the Suikoden series(I played 3 to a point, but it stopped loading fairly early in game). I've heard their greatness from a bunch of people (one member in this community in particular is especially fond of 2, and seems to have a similar taste in games to me otherwise so I've been intrigued enough to buy that one from psn, but I've yet to find the time to play it.) but as of yet haven't gotten around to actually playing any of them for various reasons, most of which boil down to lack of time and/or money.

Final Fantasy 9 is incredible, its my 2nd favorite Final Fantasy game.

-Entire zelda series


-Most final fantasy games past 6 (excluding 13 and 13-2 which I actually liked despite their flaws, fight me )


-Chrono Trigger


-Five nights and freddies


-any mmo or moba or games that require constant internet access


I feel like there is more but my brain has gone to mush because hunger :3

The entire Kingdom Hearts series. I want to so badly, and I'm planning on starting soon, but I have so many other games. AAAAAAAAAARRRRGGGHHH! How does one even keep up????!!!!!

I had a hard time on this, possibly because I have played a LOT of games, and I've been playing games long enough that I've played most older games, too.


That being said, I finally did think of a few games that would qualify:


Dragon Age: Origins. Just have never played it. I've heard great things from friends, just, never got around to it.


Dark Souls series/Bloodborne. I don't know if I'll ever play these. I just don't care for frustratingly difficult to the point of feeling cheap games.
