Hi.
Came some test play in between, but now I´m starting your demo and will come back with som feedback.
I feel it`s unusual promising game, i took Mage to start with. And you have a good and "fast" opening and i understand things will get clearer as times go.
Prefer often that to an opening loong cutscene with so much information that you forget half of it.

Hi.

It does hit pretty hard with story and action, but after a while all of the story pieces fall into place. I hope you have a great time playing, and please let me know if there is anything I can do to improve.

This. Looks. Absolutely. Freaking. Great. I mean it could have been decidedly mediocre but I still would probably have been positively disposed towards it because Chronomancers and time magic are my jam. literally.

I don't know if the Let's Play are doing much from a marketing point of view, but they have been extremely helpful in providing feedback and helping me improve. (This is my first game, so I obviously started out needing a LOT of improvement haha)

Unfortunately I found a game breaking bug in the last patch that I pushed out. (you can still play for quite a few hours, but a missing autorun event just caused the came to stall out after you complete one of the dungeons)
I've obviously fixed it for the next patch, but I thought that I might hold off on the next version until I get a bit more of the intro reworks done. It's your call, if you want a copy ASAP I can probably get one by the end of the week.

Can anyone request a download link? Because I'd love to play your demo as your game looks real great.

(All heroes are selectable and playable, but the reworked intros add a lot to the story, main character, and even provide a valuable relic).

-Keegan, The Soldier
-Raven, The Mage

So if you would have selected one of those 3 then you should be good to go haha.

Works for me since unfortunately I don't have the time to play an RM game, no matter how awesome, for more than a few hours. : )

(Every second I can I'm channeling into my first commercial game which will be my...*COUNTS*...23rd...game released overall ("only" my 7th using the CrowStorm/StormCrow "brand") over the course of the 16 years I've been at this. I often advise that everyone has about ten ****ty games in them they need to make and release to get the crappiness out of their system before they stand any chance of making a good game, so I'm frankly astonished this is your first game (I'm sure it didn't look as shmexy when you released your first build). Because I've probably got at least...oh, say 17-20 crap games that I developed to some degree or another but didn't deem worthy of release. To say that I've been thinking about monetization for a long-ass time w/o actually DOING it is an understatement.)

Class Changes

Cleric

-Removed Antidote from Cleric. Moved Remedy to Level 5.

Ranger
-Replaced Heal and Heal II, with Regen and Regen II. Now a 150/300 heal with a 3 round healing buff inside of combat.

-Remade the Lumbermill dungeon. Now be more realistic looking, and more of a hack n slash mechanic. Finishing on time will still yield the same rewards.
-MASSIVE overhaul of just about every battle animation. Should be much more unique now.
-New Horse char sets
-New animated battlers for Hornet and Spider
-Lighting changes made to Fallfel. Also removed some old outdated lights which should help improve performace as well.
-Battle sequence changes for the Magic Missile. Now launches ALMOST at the same time and had improved handling overall. Also fixed a potential "launching" issue with it.
-Modified various animations (charge up, basic slash/hit/etc.)
-Added a sound emittance feature for rivers/waterfalls/etc. still a WIP, but seems good.
-Rework of the Goldmill Marketplace
-Changed default SE/animation for many moves/skills
-Modified HP and EXP gauges slightly
-Modified Enemy HP Gauges
-Redid segments of Griffin Mountains. Looks better now.
-Readjusted tile placement for chars lying in beds/etc.
-Fixed a couple of outdated lighting effects.
-Added a more unique Map Name feature.
-Sand Dunes added to Mor
-Added Scorpion SE emittance.
-Added dialogue preventing return to Pentam via mountain pass.
-New default menu look
-Fire and Ice spells now Additive for brighter effect
-Changed Jacques escort to the Queen to look more natural

Bug Fix
-Fixed a database issue where a Dragoon hitting level 99 would cause the game to crash.
-Finally fixed an issue with the projectiles not lining up correctly.
-Fixed a bug where the game would stall after beating the Pyramids

Deployment and Uploading will begin immediately.

I understand, I'm barely able to get time in to work on my own game sometimes.
Yes, it's been a long learning experience for me, and it was a pretty ugly beginning haha.

Sorry everyone.
Unfortunately there was an issue with deployment of V1.0.11. It had to do with audio deployment, and then afterwards I had an issue with a sound emittance plugin.
Regardless, I WAS able to patch it all up eventually, and in future I should be able to avoid those issues.
Going forward, I'll try to implement some further changes and keep trying to polish up the beginning portion of the game.
Hopefully in a few months I'll actually have a fully stable DEMO for release to everyone.

In the meantime, here is a playthrough by JackOfAllOps. He seemed to quite enjoy himself...

ROGUE
-Sting moved from Lvl 7 to Lvl 3
-Slice added
-Rogues can now use Swords in their mainhand.

DEFENDER
-Sunder move added

RANGER
-Aim Shot added to level 1
-Barrage added from Mistbank Mini-Game
-Regen I and II reduced by 25%

-STB System added in place of DTB
-Turn Order menu added, and default colors modified slightly
-Row Swap has been added to individual hero battle actions to avoid issues/exploits.
-Group Row Swap removed from Battle Menu
-Weapons and Shields can now be swapped mid fight via "Equip" command
-Weapons and Armor descriptions now standardized and descriptive
-Pirate Ship now takes 3 Cannonballs before it goes down
-Enemy battlers have been moved to accomodate STB Row adjustment at the beginning of battle.
-I moved some skills around for the Rogue.
-Added a "Purify" skill for the defender @ Level 7 (self cleanse of status ailments).
-Slightly redid the map layout for the Tunnel dungeon.
-Modified the HP of the mobs in there to allow for a smoother flow for the trash mobs.
-Modified the Pub sequence to have smoother camera movements, and have a locked door in place of a sassy waitress.
-Fixed my "Miss" hit rate "issue"
-And added a back plate to the Crystal...

-Adjusted aerial dmg for aerial targets.
-Added separate skill setup for Skills vs. Magic (For Ranger)
-Adjusted battler locations for Rows

Haha, I was just mentioning this to a couple of other players.
My big goal right now is to polish up a PROPER Demo for everyone to play/try.
I have a LOT of work ahead of me, but I SHOULD be able to get it done in a few months.
I'll definitely keep this thread updated, and I'll send you a DM when it's ready as well.
