Why is this in completed games? It only has a demo link.

Only a demo at the moment but still fairly substantial. Just thought I'd see what kind of response it got.

The game is pretty much done, I'm just glossing over some sidequest stuff and little bits and pieces.

Won't be too long until I upload the full game!

One of the areas in the game I'm working on is called Lucidia. Apparently I wasn't being as original as I thought!

This game sounds nice. Be interested to see the finished product!

Your game looks very promising, but I really don't like to play JRPGs with an ATB system when it doesn't feature a wait function, preferably an automatic one (that halts the battle completely as soon as a party member's bar is full). Could you please implement a wait function or would it be too much trouble?

I'll bite, the story sounds interesting enough.

Just downloaded it. First thing first, you didn't encrypt your game. People could easily scroll through your maps and scripts.

875 MB is huge for a maker game. I recommend trimming down your music files like removing music you only use once or twice. The audio folder alone is 600 MB.

-After Playthrough-
After playing the game for ~4 hours, I've finally given up. I recommend you to testing your game for balance issues at the beginning. The first boss, to an average player, is unbeatable and will cause them to quit right off the bat 90% of the time instead of grinding. This is unfortunate because you spent a crazy amount of time detailing all of your maps. These maps are something that should be seen, so don't be afraid to make your game "too easy".
Fortunately, your game fell right into to the "ATB speed" trap. After Orin learned Quick Feet at level 8 the rest of the game was going to be easy. The "ATB speed" trap is when your agility is so high compared to your enemies, you get 5-10 turns before your enemies even get one turn. I auto attacked all of the bosses to death. This includes the boss where you had to fight with no weapons with the help of Arlo's Empower. Yes, the "ATB speed" trap is that powerful. I eventually went back for my weapons.

I made it all the way to Electruxe before succumbing to a "find this person quest" right after leaving the Electruxe Mayor's office. After searching for a half hour and beating up some jewellery robbers, I finally gave up and ended my playthrough.
Comments -
Balance - If the developers can't beat it, the player will most definitely not beat it. Even if the game is 30+ hours long, you still have to test it. Your combat was interesting at most, because of how insanely unbalanced it is.

"No clues" quest and puzzles - Just because a developer knows where to go next and what to do, this doesn't mean a player will.

Writing - No comment on the writing itself, as I'm not a writer. Although the eventing was very well done. A lot of showing instead of tellings.

Picture resize bug:

Passability Bug: Electruxe

Sprite Bug: Jewellery robbery and jailing mages.

@Adventurer_inc. working on some fixes now. I appreciate the feedback. A bit of an eventing error there on my behalf since you weren't supposed to encounter the jewellery store robbery yet (hence the sprites not appearing). Stay tuned for an update!

@Euphoniac I could have a look at the wait function but its not at the top of my list as of yet! Will definitely keep in mind though. I hope you might give it a try in the meantime anyway :) Just wait for the update!

Yay, now back in action Happy Christmas time, coming back!

Back in action to develop the indie game that has been long overdue... Final Fallacy. A game that keeps on giving! The development never ends as the developer thinks to be the smart cookie by coming back and beginning by saying... "Oh bother, this indie game has been long overdue..." How could one resist such? No-one c
So I was playing with filters and this looked interesting...

Versus the normal look...

Kind of gives a very different feel. :LZSexcite:
