OK, cool. As I mentioned in some earlier posts, at that point I wasn't really able to do much more past the Find Charles quest, so any battles I was in was solo (just the main character), so if he's mainly a magic-user, but other members he teams-up with (like the Captain dude) are more of a fighter, then I can see that they would be stronger in their own areas of fighting-skills accordingly. By the time I found Charles, because of so many random-encounters, I was level 4 by then, so I only "skipped/ escaped" a few of the random-encounters after fighting through around a dozen random encounters (, plus my health and magic was getting fairly low, and as mentioned before, those "save-crystals" seemed a fair distance apart, especially considering the high-random-encounter rate that I experience, so it seemed within every few steps I took in the forest there was some Slime wanting to gnaw on me, and after a while it was getting a bit... tedious). Good luck with your project.Well I am assuming this was written before you managed to leave with Corran to Vincia.
In our minds as developers Daryl is a Mage. his standard weapon attack is meant to not be very powerful. Same with Naomi later on. His simple primary nuke early game is Arcane Bolt. He is designed is to play more like a mage from World of Warcraft or FFXI not attacking with their melee weapon unless in dire need. The game is balance around using abilities more to do damage. The basic attack for Corran and our other physical Characters later in the game are much stronger and worth using, but they are balanced around using them and their mechanics are tied into using them more regularly.
Thanks again for the feed back.
I like how u said that the slimes wanted to gnaw on you! Lol um.... yeah we might consider lowering the rate a hair. I can see it being too high for those that explore.OK, cool. Lol nice! Well let me know what you think as you continue the demo! Thanks Jef.Yeah right in that box was where I was at! Lol!
I kept thinking: "South, South" and so I just kept going south until I died!
Great Feedback!Other than the tiny bits of spelling and tile placement all seems well so far. Well, except for maybe one part. For some reason when fighting the Head Priest, he stays nearly invincible even when you defeat his skeletal minions in the second fight. Not to mention that he doesn't attack or defend himself during the fight. I managed to kill him and continue to the part where everyone wants to go to Venus. Although, it's taken a long time. Not sure if this is something only on my end or not. The first time I quit, thinking I had maybe just got unlucky or something. I went to F12 so that I'd reload from the Crystal right before Brand's boss room. Though when I did I got an error of some kind. Something to do with Khas Awesome Light Effects. The game's a blast thus far and will keep you posted if I run into anything else.
