Thanks! We are aware of that bug and have fixed it (not in the latest demo) but it is good to know any small detail! Glad you are enjoying the demo! A fully polished version will be available in the near future with a better balanced synthesis and some tweaks to improve over all experience. Stick around for updates!

I downloaded and played the dome yesterday, so i think the version i have is up to date.

The game looks nice so far, but there was a game-breaking bug.

When i entered the inn in the second city (vincida), a cutscene started playing, or more like part of it. My hero was standing fixed in the entrance and i watched a dialouge with at least two other people (including a head priest), but none of them were visible. Also the dialouge didn't made any sense, for me.

After the dialouge, when i left the building i was transported back - at least i got the map-display name on the upper left but the rest of the screen was black. Opening the menu was possible, but playing further was impossible.

Seems to me there are some conditions set wrong on these maps.

Thanks MagicMagor! That bug is fixed in the editor but not on the demo you have. If you decide to continue the game I recommend (for now) avoiding Vincia Inn until you finish that area. Its running an event you'll see after completeing some other things (which is why it doesn't make sense) first but the switch to allow you to enter the inn is incorrectly placed on this demo. Thanks for playing and thanks a lot for commenting!

Edit: In addition to fixing that, there are a few more issues that have been brought to our attention. So, there should be a more polished demo update in the near future. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause for the players out there!

I don't know if you already fixed these, but i found another three issues.

I'm currently at the tower of venus floor1.

The save-option in the main menu is enabled, even when saving is disabled, due to being in a dungeon. I know i can also load through the save-menu but i still find it a bit odd. Maybe rename the save-option in the main menu.

The second nun in the catacombs after being rescued uses her faceset only for the first message box. In the second no faceset is shown.

And the third, which stopped me from playing is a script error.

I was in battle against a man-eater and a snake. The man-eater was currently casting sleep and i had just ordered corran to cast "block"

Script 'Yanfly Area of Effect' line 423 NoMethodError occured. undefined method input for nil:NilClass
Oh and arcane bolt still feels a bit too powerfull compared against the other spells, considering his extreme low cost.

But i have to congratulate you, the battles in the catacombs were easy, but required interesseting skill-use.

That script error's not something I've caught before, yet abuse Corran's tank-like abilities. Nice find. Would hate to have got it in their finished project.

The Frina forest Save Crystal introduction lets you know that's going to happen so you can load/delete saves from anywhere. Unless they just rename the menu item for it, "Save / Load."

I never though AB was all that powerful; strong enough for a Mage or cause too many rounds to pass in battle before fights were won, weak enough not to be overpowered or let too few rounds pass.

I've tried to replicate it but could not get it to happen for me. Looking at the script, I'm not sure what could cause that but I'll do a google search and see if I can find anything. Thanks again MagicMagor!

Edit: It's actually not a bad idea to rename the menu option to "Save/Load"... hmmm....

btw, I just really find the sideview actors + front view battlers quite a bit uncool... just a bit anyways...

Uncool is right! Lol. Unfortunately we're working with what's available at the moment. On one of the battle screenshots you'll notice some funny lizzard monster... that's my only contribution (drew it myself and a friend colored it) to the game as far as battlers. I would definitely like all side view battlers for the end product eventually it's just not a priority as we work on story, mechanics, eventing, balance and mapping. Glad you think the game looks cool and thanks for the awesome slip damage script ;)

yeah, we really lack side-view battlers... anyway, the game is still cool overall... currently downloading the demo... :)

Rock on! Let us know what you think! Just a fair warning... there are a few bugs in the current demo so please be patient as we work on clearing those up and while we work towards releasing a more polished demo!

The reason why I have not downloaded this demo is because of the instructions, I'm sure im not the only one too. Just a pointer.

It's not a requirement, just a recommendation. The font files are for the font of the game. In the final version we may include a self-installer to do that for you but at the moment it's only for a visual aesthetic. You can play the game without the font but I may add that into the description for the instructions. Thanks for pointing that out! I do hope you'll play our game tho, don't let "instructions" deter you. :D

I haven't played the demo in quite a while, I'll try this newest one out. I'm lovin' how committed to the game you guys are. Keep it up, if this never gets released heads will roll.

The players are the inspiration! We also love our story... which is driving a lot of it as well. We want to tell it in a way that will be fun and exciting to keep a consistent level of attention. It's a lot of work but it's well worth it when you get good feedback and constructive criticism to help move the project along! Thanks as always Jarrad.

I am actually really excited about the story we have laid out! I feel like it could potentially be good enough for a book or fantasy novel.  I can't wait for us to be able to show it to you guys/gals in all its glory!  :)
