To be honest, I've yet to try it. I think I've somehow gotten a smell of it, and it seemed pretty nice... but never actually drank any, I think?

I don't like fake vanilla scent or flavor.

Actual vanilla is an essential component of many pastries. XD

Outside of the subject of vanilla coke. I have a story to tell you all about (And probably some of you can relate to it).

So yall know all those shops in Europe? Such as Tesco and Lidl stores. Has anyone noticed that there's allot of bootleg coke brands?
I'm surprised not that much people talked about it online. But really. Go to your local store and look for the drinks section. And you will see piles of bootleg coke.

I used to love Cola but a few years ago it caused me very severe stomach pain. It was so bad that I nearly called an ambulance! The next day it was aching and since then I've been fine, but I haven't drank Cola since as I don't want to experience that pain again. It was horrific.

@Marquise* They are far removed from the real original formula. I'll start with HFC, which didn't even exist when Coke first come out. Now, all the major soft-drink brands use that instead of sugar.

@Senatris : That sounds more like the norovirus, which is a stomach virus which lasts about 24 hours and gives you severe stomach pain. Probably not the drink that caused it, but instead exposure to someone else who has it, or exposure to contaminated water (which if the water in the drink was contaminated, that would do it).

    It's also VERY contagious.

@bgillisp yeah I guess it could have been the norovirus that caused my stomach pain. I do have a lot of health problems, a heart condition as well as a disease to do with my stomach. I've also got a problem with my throat now... I can hardly speak, even a sentence takes so much effort it's a nightmare! Anyway, so if I had the norovirus it's possible that it could have been made worse by that? I may have a Cola tomorrow, just to give it a test to see how it is. Hopefully I'll be ok. The last time I had one, even a sip caused severe pain in my stomach, so tomorrow I'll have a sip and see what happens...!

If a sip caused problems you might be allergic to a chemical in it, so I'd not do the test. And I thought I heard ulcers don't like pop in general, but don't quote me on that. The only reason I suggested norovirus is I am recovering from it now. Worst 24 hours of your life.

Though maybe your doctor could test you for to see why it caused a problem in a safe way?

Sorry to hear you had the norovirus, I hope you're feeling a lot better now!! Sending you a get well hug!

It might be worth going to the doctor's to get it checked out then, I'd hate to make it any worse, if there is actually a proper serious problem. I went about my throat and I'm still waiting for a hospital appointment, hopefully it won't come to that with my stomach.

Vanilla Coke is surprisingly good first time when I tried it, I'd prefer it more than a regular coke whenever the option is available :)

I do not like the taste of vanilla –°ola, this is no longer Coca-Cola, but just some kind of drink. I like the classic Coke.
