I love my new school, EVERYBODY is nice and they have accomodations and set preferences for like EVERYTHING. This is so much better than my old Delaware high school, which was a basically a dump.

oh my god my new place is amazing

it does not leak or force me to duck in the hallways! it does not smell like roommate stank and misery! and the kitchen is huge!

I think that having a horrible first apartment is an important milestone in anyone's life, but I'm glad that it's over and done with.

Mine was this trailer in the middle of nowhere, couldn't get hardly any utilities. No internet, no cable, no phone line. I didn't even have a radio except in my car.

It also had a roach infestation that I was battling the entire time I lived there. I swear they were immune to everything. The floor in the kitchen was coming apart and the stove was actually legitimately frightening and I was always worried that I would light the place on fire. I also had baby goats outside my window that made the most horrific noise while I was trying to sleep.

I lived there for two years, and surprisingly have some hilariously good memories from being there.

Mine was a basement suite, run by a fairly nice lady who just forgot to mention that every summer the place leaked in a ridiculous way. There are these little bugs called woodlice that only appear when there's some serious damp inside the walls, and by July the whole place was smelling super-musty. I'm not sure if it's an annual thing or what, but no way was I gonna deal with that place for another year.

We don't really get major bug infestations here in Canada (at least to my experience) but as it turns out spiders love to eat woodlice so I got a few of them running around. Not the cool kind that spins a web and keeps to itself, but the lazy kind that just hides under a couch and darts out all terrified when you come near.

The room I chose to live in also had this really weird iron-y smell to it. I never managed to figure out where it was coming from or get rid of it. It was there before I moved in, but I figured it was something the last tenant had done and it'd fade in time. Nope! Permanent bloody stench.

My roommate was kind of cool, though. He got married in the spring, so him and his fiancee were running around getting things set up and aaaaa newlyweds are so adorable!!

Soon as I'm back in Edmonton, I'm buying a huge wall mirror for the place to celebrate no longer having to walk all the way to the bathroom to check how I look in a tiny mirror about a foot below head level. Practicing anything dance- or stage-related was completely out of the question, too.

e: OH. ALSO.

FULL BATHTUB. YES. (I don't even care that I'm sharing the place with three other people.)

I love my wife, who without which, my life would be an absolute trainwreck. She keeps me grounded and alive. I love her.

On that subject, I'm heading on a cruise to the Bahamas with my wife in late November. Which should be awesome. Also beaches. Beautiful beaches. (I'm not sure what I'm praising here, other than a cruise to the Bahamas with my wife sounds really awesome)

Bahama beaches are a thing to be praised on their own. :p

Anyway, I'm thankful for the (however small) amount of people on the internet that can keep an open mind and try to stay neutral in arguments.

Now the example I'm going to give is a brony-brony hater argument because it's the first thing that pops into my mind but this goes for anything on the internet.

I was on youtube just watching some PMVs when what do you know? An argument started in the comments. Both sides were going at it like they were arguing about religion or something. Thankfully a hater stepped in (which I found strange, seeing as haters are usually trolls) and gave reasonable arguments for both sides and stopped the argument right then and there. We need more neutral, peace loving people like that. :)

Well, I praise the majority of the people living in or around the village I'm living at. We've only be living here a year now, having moved from the city nearby, and everyone's been so polite (With the exception of one or two people). It's a heck of a lot more than what can be said about those living closer to or in the city. It really makes my day when I'm just simply heading to the shop and I could say good morning/afternoon/evening to anyone and get a friendly smile and kind response. Heck, it's not that difficult what so ever, but it's the sort of thing that restores my faith in humanity.

The best thing about beer is exploring the awesome variety of amazing local and microbrews.

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
