@the grammar thing: The only reason it ever irritates me is because it makes me think people must not read or something, for their spelling and grammar to be so crummy. And people not reading makes me angry -- if you don't read, you are missing out on a vast wealth of information and different perspectives about the world, and that let's people stay in their little bubbles and awegkhaejgejh IB The idea of people not knowing how to write their own language because they choose not to read (even, like... just reading the newspaper or brochures or
something) makes me so angry. XD And I mean, every post you ever make ever is potential practise for getting to know your language better, so I don't like the whole "WHY ARE WE EXPECTED TO WRITE PROPERLY IT'S NOT AN ESSAY~~~~" excuse. Do you suddenly speak in all acronyms or something when talking to your buddy? WELL I MEAN, YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO SPEAK CORRECTLY BECAUSE YOU"RE NOT GIVING A SPEECH, AMIRITE
I try not to call people out on it, though, because there is also every possibility that folks with crummy spelling and grammar have some kind of learning disability, and then me telling them to spell better would make me a huge jackass. OTL AND I DON'T WANT TO BE A JACKASS TO PEOPLE OR MAKE THEM FEEL ****TY FOR HAVING A LEARNING DISABILITY. ;__;
although man when words that aren't actually words some how end up in dictionaries because people consistently spell them wrong, that makes me so unbelievably irate that I usually have to sit down
and have a steaming cup of tea.>B(
Anyways, I hate it when people go walking around with fedoras, but instead of wearing a pinstripe suit with the fedora, they wear a damn t-shirt. And they think they're total badasses even though they can't even wear outdated clothes right.
omg get out of my head
yes OTL I mean, you can wear a fedora with other things, but MAN you gotta have at least one other classy-ass piece of clothing to go with it. Some kind of coat, or a vest, SOMETHING. Wearing it with a t-shirt is such a fashion no-no.
