I don't judge, but I would recommend not to trace Iliketea, because you don't start to think about anatomy or form. I assume Anya is a girl, but her gesture is too maleish due to this. Instead look for a more feminine pose, mostly feminine poses are turned inwards.

I actually really like Anya's look.  It's not the typical pretty princess stereotypical body type, but one that looks like she could actually swing that sword and do a bit of damage in battle.  I also know quite a few women with that exact body type who stand like that naturally, so even if it's is a bit tomboyish it's very realistic.  Please don't make it more feminine!

I knew Anya's pose reminded me of someone.

Interesting to see a female version with the same pose.

That makes her warrior-like, as intended, especially with such a big sword to handle on her back.

To me, Anya comes across as a boy, mainly because it was traced from a boy, but also her face. It has no feminine features. I mean, it's totally ok for her to look like this, but you will have viewers mostly confusing her as a boy.

For Melidas, here's a good reference picture for holding a staff.

I've been practicing my pixel art recently after seeing so much of it on Twitter and PixelJoint. Decided to finish this piece, but stopped at the hair. I don't know how to proceed now. ;(

'Tis the main character for my personal RPG Maker project.

Hair is quite easy, just make lines following where the hair grows from (the mid part), and all it does is follow gravity (downwards). Sorry about the black background, same excuse as before.

You totally made it look easy. Maybe I'm just overthinking it as usual! Thanks Cel!

Don't worry about the black - it's just an example. :p

Oh dear, I turn away for a sec and suddenly so much feedback XD

Here's a few edits I made for Kimberly. Hopefully that points you into the right direction. Sorry about the black background, I was too lazy to save your image to my computer :x
That edit is incredible useful and really cool :D really cool to see someones else take on my Kimmi ^^ Although Sharm is right on how the shirt part is intended to look, the arms are absolutely stunning!! All in all it gives me a great base to work on, so thank you very much for that! Here, have a cookie for your work :D * gives cookie to Celianna*

Well, actually Anya isnt the most feminine girl, she was raised only by her brother and is rather boyish, a feminine pose would not work for her at all.

I knew Anya's pose reminded me of someone.

Jup, that is exactly were the pose is from ^^ When I saw it i thought : "huu... With a little longer hair, and different clothes that would totally be Anyas Pose."

Self confident, boyish, ready for action, saying " Hey, lets go finally, I wanna slay some Dragon and ****!"

Actually the think I fear most is that people will think that Melidas is a girl  ^^''  But just give him 4 years or so and the baby face will grow into a fine Hunk XD

That pose is really great, just what I wanted to to :D thx!

Thank you all for your feedback :D Its good to see that Anyas "Aura" came out just like I wanted XD

I will rework them tomorrow and show them to you :D

Zombie pop?  Well, don't start with tiles, start with a mockup.  Little squares on the screen don't tell you much, so it's easy to get all sorts of things wrong like too much texture, clashing colors, too little contrast, and so on.  But if you've got it in a mockup you can see a lot of those problems and fix them.

*Kim_shyuen: your letters are not anti-aliased. The edges are very pixelized. Is that what you wanted?

@GrandmaDeb:  With all that blue your gold is looking rather green.  You may need to warm it up a bit, make it more red.  I agree that the shadow is looking a little too blue.  You could try greying it out a little, it's probably just a little too pure.

New edits with red over the green window "mullions and muntins", also changed the concrete and cinderblock walls to be less greeny.

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
one bad plugin combo later and one of my followers is moonwalking off the screen on his own... I didn't even more yet on the new map lol.
