Also the SSJ Version is nice. First i wanted to mention that goku has no green eyes - then i made a quick research and you are right - he has green eyes as ssj x)

Just some sprites I was working on. Should I animate them?

Well I changed her neck, and used a more simple hair shading technique since I overdid it in my eyes, less is more. Since nothing was kinda perfect in my opinion.  ;)

I would like to hear some critique on this one:

Thanks in advance!
(*sorry for the late reply)

I like the hair of the second character better. The shading is done better in the first but the second looks more natural with the darker overall look.

The first has a rather unnatural brown color now.

Otherwise beautiful <3

I was just kinda bored and doing edits instead of doing the sprite from scratch.

I made a front view of Nina, and tried to come as close as possible to the original artists style which was "Toridamono" if I'm correct, since there was only a profile view for RPG Maker for her. There was a 3/4th view of her, but there she appeared to be younger. So I transcribed her into front view. Now it should be easily possible to draw her from all angles.  I think I will make also a full body version. I would appreciate a last check up, pointing me at mistakes I might not aware of, because I was to focused.

@bluemagi It's hard to tell, but his tentacle shadows act strange, except it's another pair of tentacles under his top tentacles. Besides this it looks really good.

I love it!! :D But in my opinion she looks a tad younger in this one too. Otherwise, great job! :D

EDIT- Yup those are his back tentacles! :D The left back tentacle could probably use some better animating i think. Thank you for your input!! :>

@BlueMagi + @ShiroiAkuma

These are absolutely amazing!

I love @BlueMagi 's enemy, it looks like a angry ball of evil squid-ness, which in my opinion, is AWESOME!!

And @ShiroiAkuma 's face graphic for Nina is amazing! I think it accurately captures the artist's style and overall, looks amazing, and the fact that it's face on, reminds me of ACE.

Some feedback would be appreciated, I hope I didn't forget anything.

I see recently her cape is too short it needs to go down to he knees D:

Edit: Quickly fixed it D:

Edit 2: Fixed shape of her collar, so that it follows more the natural form of her body.

@Shiroi: That looks pretty stunning - personally i would prefer to have more highlights on the skin but i think that just my personal preference

I made some progress with my tileset and have animated water, cliffs a bridge and some other minor stuff.

I think there is something wrong with my tiles but i don't get what it could be :/

Too dark compared to your charsets.
This really depends, light on dark works but dark on light does not as contrast is way off.

Light charsets on dark tiles works.

I've been freehanding a portrait for who knows how long and I don't even have the face outlined yet...  I dunno if I'll make facesets or just resize it once done.

This looks awesome :D I quite recognize son goku :) You are really catching the style of dragon ball :D im excited what you are going to do with your ressources

@Rukir, Chaos17i: Sadly i don't really know what i shall do to get a better result with my tiles or better said with the chars. Do you think i just have to correct the colors of the characters to make it fit? I will try but i dont think that this is the main problem, i thought it would be that those are more mv style and the tileset is entirely custom style

Okay full outline done, his gi will be dang 'ol easy to add but lines have to be straightened out first.

The hair was just drawn on instead of doing it pixel by pixel "at these resolutions that's impossible.... I mean 320x240 is just the characters face man!" I could go 800x600 but don't feel like making 1080p sprites and upscaling my sprites is lazy, 720p is fine...

I've been tinkering with those for quite a while, being very inconsistent regarding the amount of time I could devote each time, because of reasons. Then came MV and I decided to change most of them to the new sizes. I think they will do.

I would like to ask you kind people, to give me your opinion on those and perhaps suggest me some additional items to make, before I move on.

Some details:

  • Those are strictly "Inside_C" type of tiles. So no doors, walls, floors, or carpets. Those I'll work on after/ I'm already working on.
  • Some of them are animated (a notable example being the grandfather clock), but I plan on keeping the animation cells for their own spritesheet.
  • The textures are done the semi-lazy way. Which translates to "I did the textures myself (wood, marble, glass, metal) and I later on just applied them to the surface that I wanted. I think that may give a different feel than the RTP graphics, but I think that they are not too off-putting.
  • The two tables and the black kitchen bench have been also done in the Autotile format.

@Shiroi Akuma Thats a very good drawing of the full body front view! Great job I love your color choices.

@Kanax Great looking tiles!

I've went ahead and drew up some more characters some of them are still a touch rough. But any feed back is welcome!

I guess you missed this @Archeia but uh I did finish this up for the other drawing I was working on. Would love to hear from you whats the next step.

Hey guys! Just wanted your opinion on this logo. Moondollar is my games blatant ripoff coffee store to Starbucks. Was just wondering if you liked it, and if it was TOO much like the Starbucks logo or not. =3

He mad, but he cute :kaopride:

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
