@Sharm Thank you! I can see a couple more places that I can improve it, but I think I'm satisfied enough to go for it. Basically was wondering initially if I was going to have to find someone to adjust the sprites or if I could handle it, and I think I can. Funny thing is, took me less time to do these 2 than the others. Thank you again, this community seems very helpful so far in my little bit of time here!

I've been getting into spriting battlers, and I figured that I'll share some of the things I've been making. They're not animated.
Note: they are NOT for use in any game at all unless specified, these I made especially for Delta Origins!

So what do you all think?
I know, they look rather terrible, but these are my very first enemies made in this method :)
Also they look best on forum light theme, and the dragon is not finished.

Updates:
4/15/2018 - Uploaded images.
4/17/2018 - Updated the dragon.

5/1/2018 - Improved the bugs. Thanks to hiddenone for helping me.

@Thomas Smith Two things I think you could work on are cleaning up your outlines and your color choices for shading. Your outlines are a bit janky in some spots since it overlaps and causes odd-looking points. Cleaning up those areas should help make the whole sprite clearer. The color choices for shading seem to be pretty similar, which makes it hard to see where you've actually shaded it (your shading could use some work too, but that comes with practice). If you're having trouble finding highlight and shadow colors, don't be afraid of looking at the RTP to see how the colors work together there. I did a quick edit to one of the bug things (cleaned up the outline and tweaked the colors) to show what I mean:

Wow, thanks.
I just noticed I forgot one of the legs. :guffaw:
That sprite looks way better than mine. :|
So I should make the colors brighter, and fix bumpy outlines.

@Thomas Smith Well, my edit is your sprite, just tweaked a bit. ;) It's not so much just making the colors brighter, but making each one stand out against the others. But yeah, do those two things and then you should have an easier time figuring out how the shading on it should go.

I really hate my dragon, it's so...bumpy :(
I'll try to improve him

@Thomas Smith For your dragon, you've got a lot going on so it's hard to tell what's what. I'd get rid of the orange lines for now, work on getting all the shapes the way you want them, and then add the orange lines back in once the rest of it has been cleaned up.

Hello, hope this is the right place to ask this - but I'm drawing my own battlers and I kind of need an opinion on which of these handsome boys looks better?

Trying to decide if I should go pixely (which would be easier to match with the small pixely tilesets) or smooth (for more detail at the cost of sticking out a bit).

Ok, I can add more shading down there - but do you think line quality looks bad on the image to the right? I kind of like having more room for detail to work with it - but scaling it down always makes the edges a bit fuzzy.

But I guess a lot of the default battlers seem to have a bit of that too.

I like the smooth line better, it looks great and it's not fuzzy enough to notice.
Pixel battlers need more work I suppose, so they'll require more time.

I really wanted realistic characters for my game, so I'm drawing them myself in Krita.
I've only just started and Ren here is the first character I'm working...Obviously, he's not even close to done :rswt He needs more angles and clothes...
But from what I've done so far, what do y'all think?

Looks good! Proportions are nice! The only thing I'd say is off would be the nose. In the front view one the shape looks off and in the 3/4 view it looks too big.

Can you tell what specifically is off with the nose in the front view? Now that you mention it, it does look off, but I can't tell what it is that's off.
Also I definitely see what you mean about the nose being too big in the 3/4 view.

I changed the area around the nostrils a bit and I think it looks a bit better but I'm not entirely sure.

It looks much better now. The one other thing I'd say is off would be the skin above the knee. It kind of looks as though it's overlapping onto the knee. Aside from that everything looks great!

'General Discussion' is not for giving feedback on graphics. We have a section which is specifically for helping people improve the resources they are making.

That's humongous! What are you using it for exactly? That should help us help you better. Everything I can think of wouldn't require something this huge.
