I'm trying various editing/building stuff with the rural tilesets and right now I'm trying to make a castle. Here is the entrance, thinking about what to do with it next.

@Ceilanna: I believe it is not necessary, I am sorry. But I was confirming what is it, it could be fighting or kissing animation WIP.

A sprite that I'm working on of Sequoia, I wanted to use my own base with her. The hair isn't mine, but the outfit is completely from scratch. Just the first edit, I know there is a lot to work on.

Just a mixture of Celianna's, Lunarea's, RTP, and Ayene's resources. Thought I would do something fun. There are some issues, but... meh.

I did the middle part of the roof myself by repeating tiles from one of Luna's roofs. If I could make better houses like this one, I would love to port my game to this style.

@Ruby,

Yes, very nice, but a lot of work to port everything over.

Didn't have much time to work on this, but still.. the castle is growing ^^

I want to try round towers with the same texture for the sides, but unsure about how to do this.

Here is one way to go about it:

Working on these... Notice the vast amount of empty space.

I made some adjustments to the character busts: moved the left bust on all female builds a slight bit to the left, added the other arm in the background.

@ muramasa - love the character.  I'd love to see those animations in motion.  The dash looks really nice.  I'm a tad iffy on the punch animation, it doesn't look like it would have enough impact animated.

*edt*

went ahead and checked out the animation.  love the cape's movement on the idle, but I'd add the hair/ears rustling with it.  Your run is great!  If you punch past your target point and then back the punch would have a lot more impact.  and the other animations a great.  Cant wait to see the full animations :)

This is just a quick face test, I'll start on the actual faces tomorrow.

I havent sprited in a long time, but ive started again with a pixelated style. These were all fun to make  :D  .

Question: Should I have all lines like #1 or 'lineless' like #2?

Well, that particular guy needs the lines, he's got no contrast otherwise. If the contrast between parts was better I'd say lineless.

I've been making my own tilesets, and its difficult to keep things in the same "art style" since im such a noob to tilesets.

i waver between super cartoony, normal SNES graphics, or really realistic.
my 1st attempt at making a tree;

on the right is the realistic looking one (doesnt work well with dark areas, and top views too well.)"
then on the left i made it too cartoony looking.
and now im currently on this one

I placed some of my other tiles, to compare it to.

Which do you guys think is better suited for the tiles?

I really like them all, though the one on the right on the top and the bottom are my faves. They do look blurry though - I assume that is because the images are enlarged? Would love to see them at their regular size.

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
