Trihan, my greatest foe, we fight again,
In this realm of rhyme, where wit is the reign.
Your blonde locks shine bright and bold,
But my words will leave your heart cold,
So let the magic of Ellie's spell,
Guide you now, and forever tell.
For I am Dalph, the master of verse,
And I will not be left in the hearse.
So let the public judge our craft,
And may the best poet win the draft.

See, now you've unbalanced it because you have one more verse than I do. If you write another four more you might end up matching my quality. ;)

Ellie replies with her elementary school grade level poetry:

Hey, you called my name
Talking of Trihan's mane?

Oh a coder and a man
dates with him I wouldn't plan

Maybe if you were a prince or an earl
But I leave to make love to my girl

And now you all know why I included the (and more!) in the thread title. I wanted to encompass not just appreciation posts, but also whatever joyful things you wonderful people came up with. The impromptu rap battle is hilarious and unexpected, but so very welcome.

Thank you so much for the shout outs!!!

I also want to give my thanks to the following people who've continuously made my experience on here enjoyable and fun and without whose help Wind Ryder would probably never be completed.

@Dalph, I am pretty sure you are like my long lost brother. Thanks for sprinkling your humor on here and starting some of the funniest trends. HUGE shout out to you for play testing the game to the bare bones.

@TRIDIUM @RCXGaming and @rpgLord69, you guys make these forums a much livelier and funnier place, and you never fail to make me smile. I appreciate all your feedback and comments through your play tests. And Lord, thank you for creating Ellie and Forest of Lesbians, that game is a cult classic.

@alice_gristle, thank you for always being so welcoming and keeping things borderline appropriate. And also providing a ton of suggestions and guidance to my writing struggles.

@Lars Ulrika, your Prim puns made me laugh more times than I care to admit. Thanks for being a great guy.

@TheAM-Dol, your streams for the community are great and I hope your YT channel keeps gaining mainstream.

@Cythera for saying some of the funniest things. Love you lurking around and popping in here periodically. You are also the one who's given me the most homework to do with my project.

@Ms Littlefish for being easy to talk to and letting us see the weird forum things behind the scenes. Nobody can come close to your ratio of boob jokes per post in you know which thread.

@Tea++ for being pretty cool. You've inspired me to get Twitter and thanks again for sharing the status screen I made on RPGMakerWeb's twitter.

@Puffer @Plueschkatze @Miss Nile, for helping me along the way and taking the pain out of game development. Your maps are so beautiful and I have no clue how you have the patience, the creativity, and design skills to make them happen.

@Low @TheoAllen you guys are freakishly talented with your graphics art, but I don't need to tell you that.

@Avery and @hiddenone for sharing a ton of beautiful resources and tutorials with the community. I used your stuff on many occasions. And Avery, thanks for making a much needed male underwear icon!

@ATT_Turan @Trihan @AquaEcho the guardians of the scripting world. You answer a ton of plugin and coding questions with incredible patience. Your answers have helped me many times through my coding frustrations.

@ZombieKidzRule for being very welcoming and having the coolest tutoring voice.

If I am forgetting someone who helped me along the way, I am sorry. You can call me out (or let me have it in private). Thank you again!

Yes, finally someone sees me changing careers.

A long time ago someone knew me as a music composer and refused to acknowledge me as a scripter after I learned scripting. I'm seeing the same pattern here.

As for me, I don't remember many names, but I appreciate every reaction I get whenever I post art

Thanks y'all. It feels really nice that many of you think I strike a good balance on everything. Like yeah, there's rules and stuff, and when there's a lot of very different people that come here you have to set a lot of feelings aside...but also, it's just not that deep. It's all supposed to be fun.

Not to get super freakin' real here but I was gone for almost three years and had no idea what I was coming back to when I logged back on very, very randomly because I was in the hospital and THAT IS A VERY SPECIAL KIND OF BORED. Did not disappoint. :wub

Ah, I'm the weird creature that occasionally spawns in, makes a bad pun, and now also assigns homework!

Fantastic :ywink:

Um, I actually have my own homework to do right now...I got a midterm in 2 hours I haven't studied for, and a file issue with a game update that shoulda been out weeks ago!

Thanks, and, get back to work!

It’s really the longest and multi faceted grouping of factors why I even disappeared in the first place. Definitely a very long story of “I didn’t plan or want that.”

I think it would be very easy to put everything on the multi-year saga of finding out I have a ton of brain lesions (but no spine lesions so I lovingly call this affliction Schrödinger’s demyelination).

But, after I changed my career out of the medical field, I ended up getting promoted three times in the first 14 months I worked at the mortgage lender and uh…I worked a lot. A lot. I had a lot of money but nothing else.

Then, rather unexpectedly the game my husband became lead dev on turned into a much bigger thing than anyone imagined. I’m gonna be a proud wife here for a second. I won’t pretend everyone should know about Mega Man Maker, but it became big enough to be featured on Games Done Quick. Pretty dumbfounding and surreal for us.

So, my husband…my programmer, just upped and had little time to program our RPGs.

Well. I still have the pissed off brain but no longer the exhausting job and he’s no longer lead dev on Mega Man Maker (still maintaining the domains and doing server things though). So…RPGs look like they’re back on the menu.

@ATT_Turan I feel a disturbance in the Force. Whatever you may be thinking of doing, I advise you do otherwise.

@MsLittlefish, I actually do know Mega Man maker. Downloaded it a while ago.
It was really cool, until I realized I don't like mega man :p
That's weird...I never knew

Yeah, it’s my husband who loves Mega Man. I’ve actually never played Mega Man or Mega Man Maker. Incredibly dope music tho. My only “involvement” with that project is proof reading my husband’s tweets.

Aren't those children? Ash's Pikachu isn't a jerk. I won't discount a wild Pikachu shocking them anyway.

And a Pichu would likely let a bolt loose simply because they lack control.

I realized recently since my game is still a turn based game, that something like the card game Yomi is a lot closer to what I should try to aim for combat wise. Should also help for those who don't really play fighting games to make things a bit easier to understand. ugh the struggles of trying to show love for my 2 favorite genres in 1 go lol.
Did a bit of work on the chemistry tiles I want.

Hey There!

My next plugin will be: "Dynamic Temperature Stats"

Now you might be wondering... What does it do?

Well, it's a fascinating plugin that adds a body temperature mechanic to characters.

Holy crap, it's cold. Our heat went out this morning and the repair guy won't get the part needed to fix it at least until tomorrow. Had to be now of all times, when we have stuff to do all week and it's the coldest night of November so far.
I have invented a new food: soupie!
It is soup-pie! It's what happens when you try to make a pie, and it turns out super gooey and falls apart and you need a spoon to eat it! Soupie! Said like sue-pie. Not soupy - oh just let me eat my sad apple pie :kaothx:
