It was really cool, until I realized I don't like mega man :p
That's weird...I never knew
You don't like the standard Mega Man format, but have you ever tried playing the Battle Network games? That version of Mega Man was always my favorite.

I’ve never played Mario Maker either! Like, the whole idea is incredibly genius, but as far as playing those kinda games? I’m kinda “meh” about them. I helped in other ways, especially when he needed advice about community management.

And, yeah, Battle Network looks way more my speed but I haven’t tired them yet.

@Ms Littlefish @TRIDIUM I think the Battle Network games have a collection out on some system. They're all fairly good, except for BN4. That one isn't great.

I’ve never played Mario Maker either!
Tell me you've seen some of the wild stuff people have created with it. Some folks are just plain  evil!

Oh yeah, for both Mario Maker and Mega Man Maker. I've definitely seen a lot of the stages. The evil ones, the funny ones, and...the ones that need removed due to violating community guidelines~ @Sword_of_Dusk

I want to say my appreciation to those who streamed Wind Ryder and those who provided feedback to the game as well

@Trihan : I very much enjoyed your stream and you have a good thing going for you. If that's how you usually stream, then I think you will keep gaining more and more followers. I had no idea you were a pretty funny guy with a good sense of humor. And the voices you do are pretty excellent too. Also <3 that Scottish accent.

@TheAM-Dol : Your music ear and music mixing skills are too much. Gotta remember, we can't match those. :D Lol. Thank you for doing the stream and keeping it longer than usual. And also thank you for taking the time to leave a detailed steam review!

@SGHarlekin : Yes, you too. I appreciate you putting in freaking 4 hours into the game! I may still be pouty about HOW you pointed out the many flaws about the battle mechanics (and mapping), but hey, I do appreciate you taking so much of your time to play this game and give feedback.

@d757darkman : I had no idea you streamed it as well and you were the first one I saw make it through the forest of lesbians. I appreciate you putting in the effort and saying it's a 5-star game if it wasn't for the battle mechanics. Lol. Entertaining stream too, you are fun to watch.

@Iron_Brew @ATT_Turan @Sword_of_Dusk @padr81 : Thank you guys, I read your feedback and opinions as well, and you have some very helpful notes in there.

(If I forgot anyone, reach out to me. If you streamed the game and I haven't mentioned you, please let me know, I'd love to see it)

Again thanks guys. And I can't believe the support and involvement this community has given! You guys and gals rock!
ThankYou.gif

I feel like I owe folks a response since I have been tagged a few times. It kept slipping my mind to reply here, but your appreciation hasn't gone unnoticed.
It feels great to receive acknowledgement for any contributions made, thank you. Also thank you @TESTOSTERONE for your kind words about my music.
There are really just so many different people I want to thank that I don't know where to begin. Really, it's most every regular face here on the forum that is owed appreciation in one way or another that it would be impossible for me to thank everyone.

I'm grateful that such a community exists with so many helpful and kind people. I don't think I would be able to game make at all without you guys.
I hope to read more appreciation shared towards other members, so don't let the thread die!

I tend to think I'm at an age where I just impotently shake my fist at people rather than actually do anything about it. So... *shakes fist at @TheAM-Dol as hard as he can*

Did they really save you time, or do you think they did? Don't get me wrong, there are plenty of games one can tell at a glance if they'll enjoy it or not, but when it's something you were already interested in, I find it's better to give them a shot personally.

Just make sure you can get a refund in case you don't like it and there was no demo to try out risk-free.

In all actuality, no idea. I've long since stopped second-guessin' my choices much. Just shoot from the hip and if there's a mess afterwards, clean up.

I am late to the game because I was away from the forum for a few months, distracted by other stuff. But I appreciate being mentioned and I couldn’t agree more with all the great shout outs.

I can’t list my own because my memory is short, but I just want to thank everyone who has been so helpful and friendly to me. You know who you are!

I didn’t realize how much I enjoyed spending hours on this forum until I came back from the wilderness, brimming with new ideas.

So thanks again to everyone who makes this place so special and for putting up with me!

Happy game making!

Oh, this thread was started a month and a half ago. No wonder - I started reading it and was like "I never saw that guy".

Uh anyway, I'm very grateful for this community. Everyone is very helpful with questions and try to help whenever possible. You don't get many communities like this one. I would name names but that post would be incredibly long so - you know who you are.

Off notes from earlier:

- Played Mario Maker quite a bit, made a World nobody ever plays. I got pretty frustrated with it because all anybody seems to make or play are insane Kaizo levels that I'm just not interested in.

- @alice_gristle Boxing eh? B)

and than I forgot also a very nice person that brought my save scene to life,
and to help others with the unique scenes and wonderful plugins made
by @TSR the Frog of the North.

but there are so many nice plugins out there where I cannot remember all
the names, specially the ones that are very useful ^^

Like, they chose a remake of a 20 year old game and a vanilla 2D Mario game over it?

If I could draw, my Game Jam title screen would be a Krampus sitting in Santa's chair, his long, blonde hair flowing in the wind, sipping on an Espresso, while snacking on cheddar popcorn, chewing on an orange pencil pensively, while completing a crossword puzzle. I guess it's a good thing I can't draw.
