I'm nocturnal, meaning I'm FAR more of a night person than a day person. It's a wonder I can even get up at noon most days.

I dream of eventually becoming a professional wrestler. It's just an idea right now, obviously; as it stands, I'm kinda out of shape and there's no way in hell I'd be able to handle the traveling and ****.

I used to suffer from depression, emotional storms and anxiety, and I currently take meds to help with those things (though the storms are unfortunately still semi-frequent, no thanks to how intensely argumentative my family is and how much **** I have to deal with irl). I was extremely unsocial before I moved to Pennsylvania in 2012, but thankfully I'm much better about it. I still feel kinda awkward around people at times, though.

I'll leave it at that for now.

  • I like to eat frozen corn, still frozen.

I play a lot of  badminton.
One time I fell off my bike (wear your helmet, people) and was knocked unconscious. The Good Samaritan riding on the trail behind me was an ER doctor.

Hmmm...

1) I'm deathly allergic to peanuts, and all tree nuts. I've broken out in hives just from being in the same room for too long.

2) My mother is (sadly) a terrible cook, so I make almost all of the meals at my house.

3) I make cookies for my friends just as much as I hand out cookies on the forums.

4) I am awful when it comes to small-talk or flirting. I either don't realize the other person is flirting, or I immediately change the subject to Disney movies.

@Littlefish: I've never tried frozen corn, but I'll eat frozen cherries :D

I might be human chimera! (no seriously, it's so rare that there are only 40 known cases of it)

Something with the gynecologist finding something on the placenta that indicated the presence of a second child and other science-y mumbojumbo.

Hmmm, seems I better some stuff out about me...

1. I have very, VERY morbid trail of thought sometimes. To the point where some people think I have some sort of mental disorder. Death, dark thoughts about sickly amalgamations, corpses, demonised pregnant women, deformed babies, life-sized parasites, etc all just appear normal to me. I just draw them without a second thought. A MASSIVE contradiction to my personality.

2. I'd feel more comfortable in a graveyard at night than a hospital, I'm just strange and quirky like that.

3. I'm an impulsive cross-dresser. I've made my my best friend's girlfriend as well ass other women jealous a few times. I spent a good 40% of my childhood mistaken for a girl, may as well put that to use every now and again... I still keep this hidden from my parents but my cousins, brothers and friends know :3

4. I'm a black belt in karate. Fun fact, it helped in reducing my overall sadistic tendencies.

5. I'm 6.2ft and love orchestral and jazz music, go figure :p

6. I have a slight habit of being a manipulative bastard, yet the love of my life represses most of my "negative" traits, she's very good for someone like me.

7. I like crazy people, even if it leads to harming me mentally, physically or emotionally. Plus, I'm more sensitive than I lead people to believe...

Some things about me:

1.  I shoot left-handed, but I'm right handed.  I'm cross-dominant.

2.  I used to work for the government, now I work for the NFL.

3.  I have a Bloody Mary with breakfast, a gin and tonic with lunch, and a glass of whiskey after dinner.  Every day.

4.  I have designed and built a 3-story beer bong that splits four ways.  Cost me over $200, and we had to throw it out because it got moldy.  ProTip:  Next time you decide to build a 3-story beer bong that splits four ways, make sure that you can take it apart and clean it.  That one is free.

5.  I've served in the Marine Corps for 8 years and (thankfully) have never been put in a position in which I had to take a life.

I am almost done rewatching all 200 episodes of sailor moon in preparation of the rerelease.

Yes you read that right. Yes the information in my profile is accurate.

For a long time I thought I didn't like porkchops. I found out recently its just that my mom makes really really awful porkchops.
What is it with moms and pork chops? She wouldn't even season them. C'mon. Salt, pepper, garlic, and butter can go a long way! God Forbid she use a lemon or an herb. I still can't bring myself to eat pork chops.

This is the internet; so many facts are well hidden, but I'll just state a couple that people I know in real life know nothing about *wishes there was a ninja smiley*

- I have several copies of Beowulf (the Seamus Heaney translation) hidden away in my house at random places. They're from a class in highschool, and after the class was taken all of my school friends dropped their Beowulf books on me. I even have one hidden behind a painting. Why? Eccentricity I guess.

- I can't sleep in total silence. Whenever I slept over at someone's house, if there wasn't a place with noise I'd be awake all night with my thoughts. I always have a fan on in my room for when I sleep, even in the winter.

-  I have a hidden stash of taped Muppet Babies episodes that I still watch from time to time.

- Terrified of monkeys, more than just about any other animal. At least it's more rational than common variety spiders.

1) I also used to sing a bit [i still do in the privacy of my own home with my guitar] and I was part of a mildly awful band for a while.

2) I've written a few black comedy plays that have been directed and performed on an amateur level by my old Performing Arts college tutor [now a close friend] and her students.

3) I was stabbed at the age of 14 by a demented kid in my school. Luckily I was cut along my elbow and not anywhere more serious though I still have the large and nasty scar that extends about 4 inches from just above the elbow on my right arm down to my forearm. Even though I knew who it was who cut me, the school said they could not take it any further because the guy was in a large group at the time. They never found a weapon and they allegedly had no way of telling who the actual attacker was. Basically it was covered up and washed over. My Mum should have gone to the police you might think, and yes, I agree but she was too busy completely ignoring her children at that point in her life to bother and I was raised to distrust the police.

4) Kinda follows on from 3 but other than a small stint studying Performing Arts I am completely "uneducated". Having left school following the above incident I have no qualifications beyond a Performing Arts diploma, though I was once on an extra curricular program for children expected to be in University earlier than usual.

So, uhm, I never expected it to become relevant in this thread, and maybe I've gotten a tad emotional, but I can't even begin to say the volumes that your post speaks to me (any hey, now we're getting really hidden). When I was 14 a kid at my school and his older brother (for reasons I can't even remember) on one occasional shot Roman candles at me (I have burns) and on another night constructed and threw a pipe bomb in my bedroom window. I would have been a goner but the screen on my window was so cruddy that it fell outward and deflected the device into the garden. When I made the call we had 14 patrol cars, a fire engine, and a bomb squad in front of my house.

I knew who attacked me. But my mother wanted to "protect" me from the "media" since I was a minor. So, I never got to talk to the detective or anyone in authority, really. They were able to arrest him later on for other bombs he had detonated (and that is another story all on its own) but he was only in prison for two years on charges of arson. My parents just kind of shoved it under a rug and we moved to a new neighborhood.

I'm mostly OK with things now. Relatively little damage given what it was. I just hate being alone at night.

Wow... everything got serious... D:

VexedEnigma, Ms LittlefishWow... that sucks! @_@

Actually... I too was physically abused, only I was a little boy... I was like, 4 years old maybe. It was SUMMER school mind you. I'd come home with bruises and gashes. I'd always say "I fell down."  Of course my parents knew I was lying... even though I always tried to tell the truth. I'd be kicked, punched and dragged. She (Yes, she) was merciless!  Anyway, my parents finally had enough and complained.

Oh, did I mention she was a teacher?

Because of the color of her skin and because she was a woman, she was spared. Had a man done that he'd have been put away for a loooong time.

Well... yowza!

I hope you all don't let this ruin the thread for you's! :)

Oh, I didn't mean to get so serious. I think it's interesting. That memory is not repressed at all. But, I've grown so past it that sometimes I'm shocked when something reminds me that, "crap, that happened to me?" At the time I was devastated. Now, I'm a very resilient and thick skinned person. I'm slap happy and that has never been a facade. It's just weird to remember all this!

Time to bring things back to a HAPPY place!

I spent most of my formative years in the Middle East.  I've always loved the culture, the people. the food...  The whole of it, really.

Uh...  What else?  I learned to play guitar in Africa.

My first "REAL" kiss (not just two kids pecking) was on Tuti Island, right where the Blue and the White Nile Rivers meet.  The girl is also the reason I learned guitar.

My first guitar was a 1966 Vox Bulldog V241 Electric Guitar.

My ex (rest her soul) bought my first bass for me when I was 13-a 1998 Fender P-Bass MiM, Midnight Wine.

If my parents had their way, I'd be a pianist.

I was nearly 8 years old before I could beat Sonic the Hedgehog (the original).

Hidden fact time! There will be a quiz on this later so pay attention.

  • My favorite animal is not in fact the Tiger (I just think they're pretty intense). But is the Golden Retriever.
  • Ms. Littlefish is currently bumming in the same place as me since she's my girlfirend and all. (I'm forced to make her coffee sometimes to fuel her caffeine crazed music for our game).
  • I can't art. I can program pretty well though, but I'm extremely lazy.
  • We are currently working on a game for the Indy Game Contest, and it all hinges on me to get the maps and programming done. So if she doesn't deliver, please just blame me.
  • I am now a martyr

I'm really sorry if I brought up bad memories for you or caused you to feel emotional, it really wasn't my intention to get too heavy or to upset anybody.

I was just sharing something that I don't tend to talk about but that has had a very big impact on my life. I can't imagine what you went through and it sounds utterly horrific but I do know what it's like to be scared and terrorised by somebody at what is really a pretty formative age.

I know what you mean about it sometimes feeling distant or being reminded of things and thinking "Wow... I really did go through all that." It still effects me now in that I get uncontrollably nervous around anyone holding anything sharp [My mind knows that I'm perfectly safe but my body goes into full on fight or flight] but I coped and recovered pretty well - anxiety issues aside. These days it's just sort of an experience that's been absorbed into my already quite dark sense of humour.

I made that post without really thinking as I can talk about what happened now quite freely without being upset or scared about it, but I should have thought about how it could potentially bring up issues or bad memories for other people. I'm sorry.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
