The Self
WARNING:THIS GAME HAS FURRY CHARACTERS,BUT IS IN NO WAY TIED TO SEXUAL CONTACT WHATSOEVER,NEITHER DOES THE WHOLE FURRY COMMUNITY LIKE A LOT ASSUME.
The Self is a RPG game made in RPG Maker VX Ace.It is the first project that I plan on finishing (considering that most others of projects were mere tests).It is a project that I started working on about 4-5 weeks back,and got a reasonable part of the database(unless something new comes to mind during development) done.I will see what will happen about demos and stuff,since very little of the story has been done in the game itself.
STORY
This game takes place in the mind of our protagonist,Atlas The Rabbit.His mind is a Black-And-White place,something that is "The Zone" where one goes when he is in conflict with themselves.After he had
been brutally bullied to the point of his ears being torn off and then hated because of his gifts,which
made him different than the others,he lost interest in life and was always in a fight with himself,to
the point where he transferred to "The Zone" to try and end the conflict.

Personality:The Self is an inverted version of Atlas,who projects his inner thoughs in a much more amplified way,to the point of total suicide.He has similar attacks to Atlas,but more fierce and twisted.
FACT:The following character shares the name with a famous face from the subreddit associated with furries,who I also see as a role model.

Personality:A happy and cheerful wolf who is mostly described as a "Never-Ending Pit of Joy".He always wants to transfer his happiness to other people and make even the most depressed man in the world to smile.He loves hugging others!
Appearance
Up to now,this game has childish-like graphics which are Black-And-White,to enforce the depressing atmosphere I plan the game to have.Its enemies are with crooked smiles,raging faces or faces that look like screaming in pain,and range from screaming bodiless heads to a twisted version of the protagonist.
It wants to have the feel that it isn't real,yet it is.
Gameplay
Most of the gameplay up to now is basic RPGMaker VX Ace gameplay,but I plan on finding some scripts to changing it,but wanting to keep the feel that it is a classic RPG,battle-system wise.I will try to find scripts that will not change the fact that is frontal view,because that is what I prefer.When I have made progress to get a demo revealed,I may take suggestions on things to make the game have some changes to gameplay.That is what happens battle-wise.
Battle System Details
Apart from having the classic battle system with RPG Maker VX Ace,plus a cosmetic script to make it feel a bit more real,there are some things that I adder to make the game a bit harder and some other things to balance said harder things.
Stable PP

P(MP) of allies is always at 200,no matter the level,making the player having to choose between skills and Strike,or they will run out of PP quickly.
Tamed Souls:When enemies are defeated you accumulate points through an invinsible variable which you can check from Perditio,called "Tamed Souls" this variable is based on their LUK stat,and is a reason to defeat more enemies.When you reach a boss,the "Tamed Souls" will weaken the boss' Life,losing 1 Life for each one.Keep in mind that to balance this,the enemies will not have high LUK.
Degen Accessories:Certain accessories,although they have high stats,at the same time may have Degen effect on Life,making you lose some life every turn.
3 Equipment Slots:All members only have 3 equipment slost available,thus limiting stat growth from items,and making the player have to rely on mods more than they usually do in most RPG Games.
HP Growth Lowered:Current attempt on having player rely on healing items most of the time,and making them choose between certain skills to use and such
SMIRK And MORALE:Allies will have their Morale increased when an enemy is defeated and when it reaches at 100 they have the SMIRK status,which will increase all stats by a 30% percent.On the other hand,when someone in the team dies,MORALE will decrease and when Atlas dies,moral will decrease a bit more,as he is considered the leader.Discord Moves have a morale boost as well.MORALE is a variable controlled state that influences the whole team.
Skills with Special Properties:Skills that have a great effect,but on the other hand have some negative
effect as well.
Soul Skills

assive skills that have special effects,like having constant regen,stat growth etc etc.
Non-Battle-wise,the game will not have the habit of pressing the Esc button to open the menu,but rather press SHIFT to open a series of choices that Perditio,the crazy butler cat will give you.He will allow you to: "Forge"(AKA Shop for Items and Equipment)which up to now shows all items available,but I may try to change that.
"Check Condition"that will allow you to open the menu and do all kinds of stuff.
"Record" that will allow Atlas to save his progress into part of his memory,but when you do that with Perditio,you will need 150 Souls(currency of the game) to do so.
"Tamed Souls and Morale" which will count the Tamed Souls you have collected and the Morale accumulated.
If you want to refrain from using souls,in each map there is a bonfire that will allow you to:
"Rest" which is much like an inn,needs 200 Souls to "light the bonfire"
"Record" which will save your game for free.
"Forge Mods" which will allow you to forge items that will increase your parameters.
Keep in mind most features (SMIRK,MORALE,Passive Skills script isn't downloaded yet...neither Equipment Slots

or the "Tamed Souls" aren't set up as it was a last minute idea) still aren't done,as I think I will need certain milestones on map and story progressions to do so.That being said,I think that most things I may have to add are cosmetic scripts,as I think those are some things that make a huge battle system themselves.
