Art by Kevin Bolk: and Comcept

After the creator of MegaMan quit Capcom he went to start his own company Comcept. Which unfortunately he didn't get the rights to his beloved creation. So taking a step back he is making a new kind of MegaMan game that doesn't feature the beloved blue bomber man, but a new cyber warrior Mighty No.9 Beck!

However to make this game with his team they need funding so they have went to kickstarter   and made 1.4 million in the first 2 days! But now you can support an help this project get made with your own input when you donate.

Come check out on kickstarter and tell me your thoughts any of you all who are megaman fans on this reincarnation

 of megaman!

I'm totally in for it, been supporting comcept since the beginning as much as I could. Guy makes great games plain and simple.

I do wish he would have tried to differentiate the art a bit more from the original so we could see just how many things he can create in such a setting but I also know that he doesn't want the purpose of him doing this to be lost on anyone so it doesn't bother me that much.

Mega Man games are awful. It blows my mind how this crap raised a million in one day.   :o

I think this is awesome. It's a way for Inafune to keep making Mega Man, without actually making Mega Man (because he can't).

It still looks like it's own thing though, which is good.

Furthermore, I tire of people calling this a rebirth or revival or whatever of Mega Man. Mega Man is not dead. He's been in quite a slump, but he'll recover. Smash Bros. is helping with that. If anything, this should theoretically get Capcom to reconsider there current stance on Mega Man, I mean, look how much funding this game got from fans in so little time. Obviously, it shows that people still like a fun, simple "Mega Man" game. But...I don't know how Capcom thinks, so I won't get my hopes up.

you probably played Megaman X7.

yeah, I feel really sorry you had to go through that...

Also: Can't wait until they come out with a Mighty No. 9 Anniversary Collection for the PS4.

I've never been a big fan of the side-scroller Mega Man games. But Mega Man Legends, I love that game to death. I'll give Mighty No. 9 a try when it comes out, but I do hope it's successful enough for Inafune to spawn a Legends spiritual successor.

Mega Man 1-6 on the NES, 7 & X-X3 on the SNES and X3 on the Playstation, 8 on the Playstation, 9 on WiiWare, Legends 1 & 2, X4-6 on the Playstation, X8 on the PC, Mega Man Zero 1 on GBA and Mega Man ZX on the DS.  Along with the GB games 1-5 and Wily Wars (PAL) on the Genesis, I played al of these and enjoyed them all.

Am I going to support Camcept and Mighty No.9?  HELL YEAH!

Megaman Battle Network 3 & 6 and Starforce 3 are actually pretty good RPGs.

You just have to put aside some the cliches. MMBN 6 and Starforce 3's stories are a treat though. Loved the conclusion in both series.

Actually already supported this game, Megaman X and X4 are some of my favorite games ever I hope it really becomes something great, yet different enough since Megaman X started going downhill after 5 (I haven't actually played the original Megaman games before).

oh wow this is a thread im so proud of you guys and i hope you backed it ;_;

i threw in a hundred bucks because my childhood

im a LITTLE pissed that they went with the 'cute boy' look again (see: original Mega Man) but that's mostly because i'm such a die-hard fan of the X series

Capcom will go bankrupt after releasing ****ty mobile games that no one likes

they will sell off the Mega Man, Viewtiful Joe name (and more)

games will be fun again

this probably wont happen but i just want my childhood back

although considering how Capcom's financial situation is and how they have to (stick to the mobile market) it's possible

Mega Man games are awful. It blows my mind how this crap raised a million in one day.    :o
Alex, i'll take Opinions for $600

I only played Mega Man 2 before, but this game looks pretty good, I guess the only way to get Mega Man back on his feet again is to start from scratch.

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
