I just wanted to start a random forum. My dog Bella, always hangs out in my brother and mine studio, spare room with our computer, but today she has obsessed with laying under my bed. Nothing wrong with her. I checked her out, she played with her toys but as soon as we start working she goes under my bed. Even when I got her out and closed the door she paces back in forth by the door. Lets hear your crazy stories.

One day, while I was out, I came home to find my turtle missing from his aquarium. I panicked and tore the room apart, confused as to how he got out, but I couldn't find him anywhere in the room. I eventually found him hiding inside my laundry pile outside the room - he had burrowed into the clothes like he was playing hide and seek. I have no idea how he got there or why he hid in the laundry pile, but he did :/

My cat also sometimes stares outside, then gets up, paces in a circle, and returns to the same spot to stare again. But then again, my cat's always acting weird :p

The turtle scenario does sound strange I wonder too how he got out. maybe he got out when you were looking for him. Who knows. I defiantly have though moments where I find something, not my pet, where I least expect it. As for your cat. it sounds like it wants to go outside but as they get closer outside they change their mind.

Ya, the turtle was weird. Since I put a lid on, he hasn't gotten out again, so I guess he must have climbed out?

And I doubt that's the reason for my cat's behaviour. He's a fully indoor cat and really has no interest in going outside. I think it's more that he thinks he sees/pretends to see something outside, then circles in agitation and looks at it again. It's actually kinda creepy when I think about it, but then again he plays pretend like crazy. One time we bought one of those kitty figurines made with fur, and he stole it and pretended it was his kitten for years o_O

This has nothing to do with Game Development. I've moved this thread to General Lounge. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.

My cat plays fetch. Also she sometimes randomly bolts around the house even though nothing is around.

Just to make sure, your turtle isn't named for a Renaissance painter, is it? ;)

Our cat likes to hunt and eat what he hunts. This makes him very fit as a cat standards.

Anyway, while he is greedy for cat food inside our house, he is sometimes too good for fished fishes.

Yet he might hunt a mouse, eat it and then want seconds by asking for cat food.

Your dog cuddling with old socks reminds me of my grandma previous dog that would take everyone sock under the bed and chew it. But your dog loves socks. :p

@Vox Novus

A cat playing fetch, that would be a strange thing to see. I wonder where they learn to do that? Do have like a dog and it just learned by watching?

@Clord

Your cat is a nature born hunter. I bet you will never find a mouse in your house.Not with your cat on the hunt.

@vox:

Your cat is probably just chasing ghosts.

@imaskribble:

Is there anyone else in the house who could've put your turtle there? Turtles aren't known for their dexterity and agility.

@NT:

Has there been any changes in home environment? Pooch may be crawling under the bed out of anxiety. My aunt had a dog who would pace around the house when she was nervous, and hide in the basement closet when she was really scared. (She was a rescue dog who'd been abused, and she hated loud noises. She had to be dosed with doggie melatonin over the 4th of July holiday.)

My cat Patches recently passed and I'll always remember her as the funniest cat I've ever had.

She'd start meowing loudly and I'd check her bowls, fine. Check her litter, fine. Pick her up to hold her, and she's just stop. Every time. Usually cats squirm and thrash if you hold them too long but she'd just lounge. Put her down too early and she's meow loudly again until you picked her back up.

She also went absolutely nuts if you had any fresh vegetables or flowers out. Her nose would turn bright pink and she'd wiggle over to you and try to eat whatever you had. We had to keep all the vegetable scraps separate and take them out immediately because when we put them in the waste bin she'd knock it over to get them. We had to be careful where we place flowers and plants, because turn around, and you'll find she's probably eating them. I even once cut a piece of pumpkin pie, turned my back, and found her taking some noms out of it.

If she liked the smell of something she'd investigate thoroughly and it wasn't an uncommon sight to see her with some sort of bag or package over her head just waltzing around.

It's adorable lol, she plays fetch with these little foam sports balls (soccer ball, golf ball, etc) made for cats. Found out she could do it by accident one day just threw a ball to have her go chase it down and bat it around but she ended up bringing it back. Like all things cat though she needs to be in the mood to do it otherwise she won't.

 She sometimes drops the ball on the way bringing it back but she tries so hard!

Its actually been awhile since I tried playing with her, she's getting older now and I also need to find the right kind of ball again they are easy to lose over the years.

Idk where she learned to do it or if its just something she does, didn't have a dog or anything; adopted her when she was five or six (owner had too many cats and had to give some up even though she is the sweetest cat around).

   I used to have a dog that had me fairly convinced he was some kind of puppy medium/ghost whisperer/possessed, he was a shelter dog, and when we first brought him home he would sometimes stare into space for long periods of time or bark at things that weren't there. While he was living with us everyone in my family experienced weird things like hearing voices in the night or strange shadows out of the corners of our eyes, then in my father's final moments the dog brazenly hopped onto the bed (which was extremely strange since he was never allowed up there and he was well trained by this time) he stood by my dad's right shoulder and stared down the wall as if something stood in the space between it and the bed and he was trying to get in-between it and my dad.

   He stood there for at least an hour, maybe more, eyes wide and teeth clenched with his back to my father and the people gathered in the room around him. Then out of nowhere he lets out a long howl at the wall, and my father takes a last, wheezing breath in sequence with the howl and the instant the howl cuts off all the hospice monitoring equipment starts wailing out it's warning that he'd passed on.

   After that we moved to a new house and the weird experiences intensified, my cousin who used to come and clean the house once a week for my mom got to where she wouldn't stay in the house alone and kept her ipod turned up loudly in her ears while cleaning to stop from hearing 'strange whispers' inside the house and one night when the dog was sleeping in my brother's room he swears he was awoken by his radio flying off of his desk and crashing into the wall on the other side of the room. The dog in question got really depressed for a while and his episodes of staring at nothing became more frequent. He'd always have this strange look in his eye like he was seeing something beyond whatever he was actually facing. Then after the dog died we buried him in the back yard, for a couple of weeks after everyone in the house would randomly hear the dead dog howling like he did the night my dad died (we had another dog in the house, but he was a big baying lab while the dog we kept hearing had been a terrier that sounded completely different) and to my knowledge nothing strange has happened in that house after that.

I've had similar experiences, which, I admit, could be readily rationalized away. But, I'm willing to keep an open mind about spooky stuff. Dogs are traditionally viewed as guardians of their humans, against the spiritual, as well as physical threats. Cats are said to be equally sensitive, but aren't impressed.

Of course, they also eat their own poo, so...

Not thing has really changed. That is the thing. Overall my dog is a pretty clam dog. When I came home today to set my keys on the nightstand in my room my dog crawled right out. She was excited to see me. But shortly after when back under. The thing she has never done this until yesterday.

@Ms Littlefish

Your cat was a strange one. I am surprised your cat like vegetables. All the pets I ever had would not touch it. As far as the meowing, she is trying to tell you she wants some love right now. Your cat must be a vegetarian.

@Vox Novus

It is a good thing she found her to your home she can do thing normal cats would never do. Also best of luck finding a new ball for your cat.

@Alexander Amnell

The thing with your father sounds like such a unique ordeal. I have heard pet can sense your emotion but this. Your dog is a ghost whisper, like you stated. Your dog wanted to use his ability one last time to let you know he was still here.

@nio kasgami

My dog does something similar where she rolls on her back. When she does it she just swing her body right to left until she has done a 360 turn. Your cats must love you and want to go everywhere with you. On top of that they get a free ride.

I'm pretty sure my dog has autism. I don't mean that in some kind of offensive my dog acts funny kind of way. She overthinks everything. You can see her working out every action and every step she takes is perfectly calculated. She picks up things you're doing and starts doing them herself - I hit a ball at her with a bone as a bat so now whenever we play ball she holds the bone in her mouth pointing sideways and hits it like a baseball. But it has to be one particular ball, she remembers where they all are, and if you throw the wrong one she will just let it hit her square in the face until you find the one she wants to play with (identical tennis balls). Sometimes this will be a ball she remembered went under the settee two weeks ago.

My dog has a higher attention span then Americans about news. :p

I mean a dog barked on a news program and my dog kept barking about it for five minutes.  That is the longest I have ever seen anything in my country care about news that long.
