Contents will be 90% cute stuff, 35% collabs, I foresee. Yes that's not a perfect 100%.

Anyways.

I guess I draw things which resemble chibis?

Edit:okay nvm today I felt like doing which doesn't resemble a chibi.

Edit:Welp it seems I didn't stop at sketch phase for the first attachment to this thread, though that will not happen often lol. I blame Evileagles as he made me go all the way ;~;

I'm using this thread to dump my sketches/whatevers which may or may not result from pseudo-regular practice.

I haven't been drawing for long (little over a year now I think??), and I have absolutely no intention of becoming a master artist, my objective is achieving functional level art for my games and leisure, so one could expect every beginner mistake ever in here!

Anyways~

Day #01

No big story behind this one really. I figured it would be lame to start off this thread with some ancient sketch from the depths of my HD, so I set off to draw something new. Since my good friend Evileagles has a permanent crush on Kuroneko, what better victim than said character?

I was actually gonna stop at sketch phase, but EE told me to keep going...so I did. though I don't really like to one-sit through drawings, I get no time to revise the sketches and fix errors, though I guess doing the whole process in one shot is also something nice to keep it fresh.

I absolutely dread full frontal angles. I'm probably not going to touch this again, but if I did, I would fix the sloppy coloring, a lot of how the light is hitting her, and her right arm+shoulder combo which are in dire need of revision as well...oh well, all screw-ups will be taken into account for future drawings, I only semi-got the hang of coloring recently, so I guess I cannot expect wonders overnight.

Oh and yeah, her headband was totally an afterthought lol.

Kuroneko~

Avvy'd as promised~

Man to be quite frank it still baffles me how madly you've improved over the months. You should post more of your work!

Keep it rollin' dawg.

;w; In the same boat with EE~ I am always amazed with your progress and new stuff and by the fact how humbly you take it.

I think you tackled the tricky front angle well there and definitely eager for seeing more. ;A;b

Day #02 (update continuity I suppose).

I've been working on a bunch of chibi battlers for a certain project lately, but tonight I felt like taking a quick break from that, and ended up making this.

the color version is not really the final ver at all lol. Just getting an idea of the shape and other stuff. Been trying to make my chibis a bit more dynamic, but retaining the chibi feel. The colors...I'll definitely change them to fit the default RTP. A lot of stuff about it makes me go ehhh.

This is another chibi I cooked up the other day (Black armor lady). I had a lot of fun designing that armor~

The knight to the left was colored by beastbro Scinaya a while back~

During the creations of these I discussed the prospect of Caz's life becoming a reality show, but her waifu was not too keen on the idea. Oh well!

Oh yeah, and I looped this while working.

I really like the armour on the black lady knight. It looks really awesome. Also the style of your chibis are really cool. I really like seeing your artwork progress. Keep up the good work :)

Thanks drake, It's a style for a certain game, albeit said style is still being tweaked lol!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Day #It's been a while.

School started and all that jazz but I've still been drawing stuff. I guess the main highlights are a bunch of things done for 3 separate games.

First up is this mecha skeleton which will be the base for quite a ton of robot designs to come for a certain game I'm working on with Fomar.

Second there's this finalized sketch/lines of the last character which needed a design for yet another undisclosed game I've been brewing with Horace-  I mean Scinaya:

Yes that is a spatula sword. She is also part of the same series of characters as the two knights from the previous entry.

this is the current battle system for that project (albiet rather outdated by now):

Almost last, and certainly least doesn't apply, there's yet more art done for, this time for a change, a game I can actually refer to by name,  Sayako .

A distant look at Ancora Hills Sanatorium, the actual setting of the game. The abandoned Sanatorium where the events of Sayako unfold.

Operational for 40 years, the Ancora Hills sanatorium served a vast number of patients while it remained operational, however, the reputation of said institution saw itself tarnished during the later run of its life, with varied reports of patient mistreatment and covered up negligence. The highly controversial case of Sayako Noguchi would become the last, yet greatest black stain on the records, right before the scheduled closure and decommission of the facility.

Today, sorrounded by nature, the intimidating structure still stands and remains largely abandoned, becoming an object of urban legends and vandalism.

This background shot was essentially yet another collab between me and Horac- Scin. She handled the colors yet again~

-------------------------------------------------

Other than these recent developments I've been hooked on TF2 and cytus.

ffffffff.

RMMV
I like your art, but I ESPECIALLY love your coloring skills. I could sketch all day and make something decent, yet I don't go any further. Oh man, I don't know how to do it at all! It drives me nuts, lols.

Keep drawing!

Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
Do you Find Tilesetting or Looking for Tilesets/Plugins more fun? Personally I like making my tileset for my Game (Cretaceous Park TM) xD
