In addition, I just finished upgrading the look of our website. Check it out now! I demand it! I also encourage you all to follow us on Twitter, we will be posting frequent updates along with some extra goodies in the future.
It's been a pretty busy month both Yip and I, a lot of family issues, but despite everything we've reached our initial goal to get done for this month. The original story we had planned has been cut up and tossed out, and come next months update, we should be able to finally talk about it. Don't worry though, New York is still destroyed and the infinitely better New Ark is in. We have 8 maps (all created from Tiled - and partially designed in Paint.NET), which includes Peter Parker's apartment, New Arks infamous Slumpartments, and the dreaded monster infested Sewers that sits right below the Slumpartments. I'm confident to say that once we start adding in dialogue, secret areas, side quests, etc. that there will be at least a good hour and a half worth of content just from these maps. We've also created some more portraits (credits are on the first post), and here's a teaser of some said new portraits. We'll be posting more character profiles on the front page sometime in May.
Screenshots.
As I said, all the maps have been designed within Tiled and partially done in Paint.NET as well. The maps aren't super 100% done (especially the massive Slumpartment sewers), but we think they're good enough for your beautiful eyes to gaze at. These maps should make up for our hideous mockups that we made back in 2012.
Rejected Bullshot Screenshots.
For those who aren't familiar with the term "bullshot", it's a term for screenshots (or if you're Gearbox, gameplay footage) that have been spruced up and generally doesn't match the final products generally less impressive graphical quality. So we thought to ourselves, we should do that. So we did. Despite being proud our own bullshots, we ultimately rejected them and decided we should still show off what we were initially going to show. These bullshots are so awesome in fact, that we had to wrap them in spoiler tags otherwise your house would have been set aflame by the unparalleled excellence.
Bloody Screens (so real)!
Shocking Detail!
Super Scary!
Well that's all we have for now! We may have a little extra for everyone sometime later in May, but if we don't, we promise we'll have it for you at the end of May.
Good news and bad news, those who were still looking forward to this games' progress. Well, honestly, mostly bad news
First off, the bad news -- As it stands, UhSpid is indefinitely cancelled. Sorry. We didn't do this without thought, however. Or without reason. We actually had many reasons, one being that we just didn't see a future for the game as it stands. We ran out of juice for it, and it really lost momentum. I'm just as sad as you are/just as happy as you are that this project no longer lives in this form.
However,
Not all of this effort was put to waste. We do have another project in the works, and it may or may not include your Spider-douche in it in some way. Trust me, it's better this way.
There, now that you all have closure, we can all continue with our lives. Follow us on Twitter if you're still interested in what pudding we have to put down. There will be announcements coming.
i can't wait to drink some ice after struggling with my illness in 9 days. 9 days is really bad for me,i can't focus with my shop and even can't do something with my project
