Hello fellow hackers, I mean Linux users,
entering the Wine test data in the AppDB on WineQH, I recognized that there is no Maintainer.
RPG Maker on WineHQ->AppDB (that's not good, hackers)
So i jumped in and apllied for the job:

Application Maintainer Request Report
-------------------------------------------------------
Your application to be the maintainer of RPG Maker has been accepted.
//appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=application&iId=937

We appreciate your help in making the Application Database better for all users.

Best regards.
The AppDB team
//appdb.winehq.org/

If you don't want to receive any other e-mail, please change your preferences:
//appdb.winehq.org/preferences.php
Edit: man, took some time to clean the entrys up and mark the tests done with illegal versions etc.

I also removed some "Freeware" comments and download links to the infamous 1.01a versions.

This toppic is intendet to collect problems that occure and discuss solutions to make the Maker truly "Versatile enough for any Platform". (I also thought of writing: to make the Maker run on the plattform WE want, fellow hackers) (you 'll be free, hackers)

ps.: some might guessed it, I had a real bad catchy tune in my head writing this xD

The interesting Part:
For me the Wine installation of bouth Steam and non-Steam version ran flawlessly. (as if have allready posted here: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/46392-plattform-support-tested-works-on-linux/)Vanilla wine however gives you a error everytime you start the maker, but you can just click it away, haven't found any negative impact.

And there is a fix for this: just install the windows msvcr120.dll using winetricks (package name is vcrun2013)

The error at the start is solve by using the native msvcr120.dll in wine (at least with wine 1.7.50).

Personnaly, I cannot activate it (non-steam version) with the following log:

Not sure what it's related to, but maybe IE or a SSL problem.

Edit: You should also use msvcrp120.dll in native. I required it for the animations.

I also have a tutorial for exporting for Linux here.

Also, if you can't playtest your game and your Windows version is set to 7 or higher, you'll need to set Game.exe to run as Windows XP.

I have Debian Stretch installed and Wine Stable 3.0.4

The editor itself seems fine, but when I go to playtest it never leaves the black "Now Loading..." screen. Does anyone know how to correct this?

I should realize that error was produced by a outdated version of MZ so that's why it pop up like that
