Hello,
I am currently "hiring" for any members who would like to help me on a personal project, for my sister. I know the guidelines of this forum explicitely prohibit any submissions of personal projects, due to the team not feeling involved in how the game plays out. However, I am very lenient in which way the story goes, and how it is told.
The game will not be very long. Maybe a 2-4 hour adventure. Basically, the story is of a girl who is cursed at birth to transform into a wolf. As heir to a kingdom, she is excluded from inheriting the royal inheritance when her father passes away. Meanwhile, her father searches for a cure, but can find none. Instead, he decides to remarry. The Wolf Princess discovers that the woman he has married is a witch, in disguise, and that this is the same witch who gave her the curse to begin with.
The story escalates from there. This is a story based on a draft my sister gave me when she was 10. I decided to write it to make more sense. And I want to complete it for her, and eventually, for public download. If all resources are original, it may sell, albeit cheaply.
I would like to finish this game, and have several years of experience in the RPG Maker programs. I am developing this game on RPG Maker MV, currently, and hope to add it for download on both PC and Android/iPhone, if time and money permits. Priority is PC, with beta testing being released before official release.
That said, the game does not need to be very complex, or hard. Keeping it simple, entertaining, and fun is the key part here. I hope to implement a system in which the Wolf Princess can use her wolf powers in battle, but do not have any idea on how to do that yet. I have since begun making maps for the flow of the story that I've mapped out on a notepad. I do not know how to make a compelling battle system beyond the base MV system and a few minor plugins to spice up its flavor.
I am not very good at developing Database options, nor balancing enemy and item encounters. I would need help in these matters.
I am also unskilled in Parallax Mapping, something the RM community expects of their members, by now. I just find the simple uses of the RM engine "good enough", but if you wish to offer Parallax to the game, you will be credited for your resources provided.
I am also seeking any other custom resources, beyond what the base RMMV program offers. If I am unable to complete any custom resources, I will just use the basic assets provided.
I would also like an editor, or story planner to help with the flow of the story, omit any plot holes, and have the whole adventure make sense.
There are currently 10 main maps with 20 or so sub-divisions of those maps currently planned for the game, including castles, forests, dungeons, fortresses, towns, caves, and so on.
I, as a game developer, have no time, nor skill to complete all of these with satisfaction, and so am also looking for someone to help plan out a time frame in which things must be completed, which things should take up priority, and which things should be changed or omitted from the game altogether. So, yeah, an editor, I guess. I have tried this in the past, myself, and can not come to a satisfying conclusion.
Any help given will be credited in the game. Since this is a free game for the potential of royalties, payments, if any, will be given by a percentage of how much work is done via negotiation.
So, any help would be great. If this is not the proper venue for this post, please delete it, or move it to the proper forum. I thank each and every one of you, for your time. You may contact me here, or by private message, if you wish. Thank you all.
~ Nico.
