Hello! You may know me from my RPG Maker Birthday Bash entry Deceived Voice, and I'm back again with another "Experimental" Project! Introducing Their Room, a weird adventure game n stuff that I'm currently working on!

CHECK OUT THE GAMEJOLT PAGE HERE! Download the "VERTICAL DAY" Demo now!

UPDATE: THE DEMO IS NOW DOWNLOADABLE ON THE STEAM WORKSHOP!

Releasing on GameJolt, Steam Workshop, and itch.io this Summer! Or, possibly later in the year.

"Nothing is what it seems in Their Room, a experimental adventure game from the creative mind behind Deceived Voice, Nikoback Games, where you must figure out a way to unlock the exit to the room in a 7-day period. Each day is a puzzle, where you must find keys while performing and interacting with the room, such as eating a snack, playing music, or going on the internet."

"But there's something hidden underneath everything, a personal secret that lies in the Room. And a question, that's waiting to be solved."

  • Solve tacky ciphers and in-game puzzles day by day.

  • A completely interactive room. Interact with almost all of the objects in the room with varying options and actions!

  • A brand new adventure!. A story of self-discovery and connecting with distant relationships.

  • Day-by-Day Puzzles over 7 in-game days!

  • GameJolt Support. Unlock in-game achievements!

Both of the trailers are pretty much the same right now, a few more will be made as the game goes on in development. andyestheyweremadeinmoviemaker

DOWNLOAD IT NOW ON THE GAME'S MAIN PAGE!

Vertical Day allows you play through a fully complete version of the first in-game day. Designed as a simple tutorial, it is the shortest in-game day in the game. However, it includes a slew of interactive objects and tons of flavor text/datalogs that will get you ready for the other days when the full version comes out!

However, one of the most important things about Vertical Day is that it’ll be including a Google Form (Link provided in the game's folder and at the end of the demo) for you to provide feedback on the game!

In fact, if you do fill out the form (and put down your name/username at the end of it), you’ll be credited in the final game. However, you have from July 4th to July 28th to be eligible for this! So if you want to help make a impact to this game, give the demo a shot and provide some feedback!

The Full Credits will be provided near the game's release @ my personal website.

He mad, but he cute :kaopride:

Our latest feature is an interview with... me?!

People4_2 (Capelet off and on) added!

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
