Those flying lion things would be a griffin, I guess   All the sprites are pretty amazing and creative. I particularly like the boss sprites; they're very innovative, especially the Doorway to Doom boss.

One thing that bothers me though, is the tail of the little piggy. Piggies normally have this loopy-looking tail.

Just seen this, several of the monsters (Flying eyeball, Frankenstein, ...) definitly contain parts of Vibrato's sprites.
