So I actually have never used the standard screenshake. How is this different from the default screen shake feature?

Standard screen shake shakes the x-axis. And it goes left and right. This one has a randomized direction (and also include y-axis).

Can you make it shake indefinitely? I seemed to have an issue sustaining the shake when I was a noob. (Haven't tried again since, so maybe I missed an in engine option in my noobness? )

Theoretically, you can achieve looping shakes by using parallel/looping event. But it's probably better if I do it from the plugin itself. You're the second one asking for this. So you're not alone. I may update it in the future (if I'm not going to forget it).

Hi Theo, thanks for converting this into a RMMV plugin, it's much appreciated. However, I tried the plugin a new project with not other plugins active and I still wasn't able to get it to work. I used the plugin command exactly how it shows on the example: Plugin Command: Shake 10 45

Am I missing something?

Theoretically, it should work, but try a script call instead if plugin command doesn't work.
Code:
$gameTemp.shake_screen(10, 45)

Yo, thank you so much! I guess my skills at searching google stinks for screen shaking plugins, but I am very glad I found this one! I always found the default screen shaking very lacking. Thank you again!

Edit: Any chance you can make this compatible with MBS - Map Zoom?

Currently no, but it should be relatively easy for anyone with the knowledge to make a change. And yes, editing is allowed.

@jonatjack you can use a switch to make it looping untill the switch is OFF,
otherwise, make a common event and put a switch there, and use a variable for its
strengts, 0 = none or when switch is OFF it does nothing.

as long the switch is ON, it will loop constantly (at least on my side).

Hello there!
-General Keboni!

I think I'm having compatibility problems with the plugin. I've tried to use the plugin command and the script call to make the shake effect on the screen, also using the alternate plugin calls "ScreenShake" and "ShakeScreen", but none of them are working.

I suppose it is because I'm using MBS Map Zoom plugin (the screen is constantly using x2 zoom because I use 32x32 tiles and sprites, smaller than the default 48x48 size), since disabling it makes the shake effects to work as intended.

Would it be possible to make a compatibility fix so the shake effects can take place when the screen is zooming?

Sorry for the inconvenience, and thanks in advance!

so hopefully tomorrow i get to go home from the hospital i've been here for 5 days already and it's driving me mad. I miss my family like crazy but at least I get to use my own toiletries and my own clothes. My mom is coming to visit soon i can't wait to see her cause i miss her the most. :kaojoy:
Couple hours of work. Might use in my game as a secret find or something. Not sure. Fancy though no? :D
Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
