My main project has the world and lore be heavily music based, so recently I got to thinking that maybe I could use the SomeRandomDude plugin of Timed Attack Arrows (and this was after mulling over whether or not I should use it or not. "Do people like QTEs in RPGs? I'm not really sure if they do. Aw, screw it, I'll put it in anyway!") for my battles ala perhaps Ocarina of Time or Majora's Mask or whatever (or whatever games elsewise there are that have a music themed world/combat), and got to thinking about other plugins that I have as well such as Yanfly's Party Gauge and Jay's Dual Techs plugin which I also have implemented on that project. And that lead into me thinking that maybe I could use the Theatrhythm plugin to do the Combo/Party Gauge Chain Attack things? Or would that be too difficult for the player, since I have (almost) always four heroes on screen?
Or, perhaps there's even better plugins out there that would be better than either of SRD's or Mog's? One thing I think would be cool is to have QTEs during action sequences ala say the Mario and Luigi series...
So, thoughts?

Just beat the last of us 2 last night and starting jedi: fallen order right now, both use unreal engine & when I say i knew 80% of jedi's buttons right away because they were the same buttons as TLOU2 its ridiculous, even the same narrow hallway crawl and barely-made-it jump they do. Unreal Engine is just big budget RPG Maker the way they make games nearly identical at its core lol.
Can someone recommend some fun story-heavy RPGs to me? Coming up with good gameplay is a nightmare! I was thinking of making some gameplay platforming-based, but that doesn't work well in RPG form*. I also was thinking of removing battles, but that would be too much like OneShot. I don't even know how to make good puzzles!
