Hey guys, just finished a new version of this game with some of your feedback included as well as a bunch of fixes and quality of life stuff. Also all of you are credited as playtesters. Hoping to post it tomorrow!

Quick question. Or two. Where do I find a pick axe and where do I find a boat?

I can't remember if this version has the Quest Log, but if it does, check it and there should be a hint about the boat. For the pickaxe, ask the locals.

Also, I'm about to release a new version of this game soon so be on the lookout for that!

Got the boat. Got the pickaxe. Now how do I get in to The Great Woods?

I'm willing to give the game a try, but if a greatly improved version is imminent, I'll wait until its release.

It's great to see that the Steam Deck can handle RPG Maker MV games. Is a Steam version of this game planned? Then I would play that version (although via desktop PC, not via Steam Deck).

You should definitely wait until this next release as it has a ton of QOL improvements, a second quest, added storyline elements, etc.
Eventually I would love to release it on Steam, but that probably won't happen soon.

The Deck handles pretty much everything I've thrown at it! Although it has mostly been emulation up into the PS3 era, it also plays my Steam library just fine.

I've recently found this game, and enjoying it so far. I've played about 6 hours; currently in the water shrine.
Please can I have some help with the pickaxe? I think I've spoken to everyone several times, but still have no clue how to get it.

First let me say that I did enjoy the game :) I'll definitely play the new version.
I played it for 30 hours, and ended up at level 44 (Ruby 35) just before the final boss battle.
I didn't manage to complete the fishermans quests or the monster slayer ones - some indication of where to find the creatures would have been welcome :) I didn't find any crafting quests.
Finding the lightning sword and earth axe were game changers - I thought Sean could have done with a better weapon too :) I found Seans miss rate very frustrating, and also experienced a lot of lag on "all enemy" skills.
I did find the very dark scenes a bit tiresome (I'm not what you'd call young).
Just a note - in the forge, the mithril items mostly say they need steel bars, though they do actually use mithril bars :)

Awesome! Thanks for playing! I can't wait to get the new version done so y'all can try it out.
Most of those issues you mentioned should be fixed. Sean does have a hidden weapon as well but you'll have to find it :LZScheeze:

That's a really nice and enticing name for your game :thumbsup-right:
Thanks! It's from an album of fan music for Link's Awakening. LA is my favorite Zelda game and really influenced my game a lot.

I finished Partitio's final boss. While everyone else's final boss was either a human, a monster, or a human that turns into a monster, his last boss was a Train. Yep. I had to beat Thomas the Tank Engine senseless. So I guess I DERAILED Roque's evil plan. A plan to turn down 80 billion leaves (aka dollars). To become the richest man? To sell the rights to something he has already made and planned to mass produce.
Sometimes its scary to have this ability to "tune out" the world. Like... if I get 100% invested in something I'm doing, I can go like 24 hours without eating or even feeling pain. But, the moment I disengage from the activity... the stuff hits me again. It's subtly terrifying.
Is there anyone here who had a very hard video game they took years to beat as a kid? When I was ten in 2004 I got a Game Boy Advance for my birthday and that same year I got a game of "Stuart Little 2" for Game Boy Advance from my parents. That game was so hard that I literally couldn't finally beat it until years later when I was in my mid-teens! XD
Kokoro reflections is huge, why have I never seen a game made with it...
