Yep, I just posted an edit for it. That does require you to set it up in the editor with terrain tags, but it does work and prevent that problem for the player sprite, and any sprite you put the appropriate comment as the first item in the event page.

Though I did run into trouble with it if I force the player onto an X tile, and the tile above them is starred, but on another x'd tile. Seems it couldn't figure out that one. But that is such an unusual combination it should almost never arise (and I got around it by making my starred tile O for that one map as it is only used for a cutscene anyways.

Holy stink, where have I been? Well, I started my temporary job this week. So less time to spend on game design... :(
Cartoonier cloud cover that better fits the art style, as well as (slightly) improved blending/fading... fading clouds when there are larger patterns is still somewhat abrupt for some reason.
